Reports put Artur Beterbiev and Dmitry Bivol’s purses for their October 12, 2024 fight at about $10 million each. That figure is an unverified estimate, not a confirmed record of what either boxer took home. Their February 22, 2025 rematch drew separate, conflicting estimates, so its figures should not be treated as a continuation of the first fight’s reported purse.
What was the reported purse for the first fight?
For the October 12, 2024 bout in Riyadh, Marca USA attributed an estimate of about $10 million per fighter to Boxing Kingdom. Marca described the amount as a guaranteed purse in one report, but its coverage does not provide a contract, commission filing, promoter confirmation or final payout record. Marca USA’s report therefore supports describing the amount as a reported estimate—not as verified earnings or a confirmed take-home sum.
What were the reported figures for the rematch?
The February 22, 2025 rematch in Riyadh has its own estimates. Sporting News said reports put both fighters at around $10 million each, while Sporty Salaries listed a different set of figures:

The reports do not agree, and neither establishes what the boxers ultimately received. The $10 million estimate for the first fight should not be carried over to the rematch as if it were a confirmed or recurring amount.

Why purse and take-home earnings are not interchangeable
Coverage uses terms such as “purse,” “guaranteed purse” and “total earnings” inconsistently. A reported purse estimate does not, by itself, establish a boxer’s final payout. In particular, the rematch figures from Sporty Salaries include possible higher totals tied to assumed pay-per-view performance; those conditional amounts are not confirmed earnings. None of the cited purse reports supplies an audited payout or primary document establishing final compensation.
How the fights ended
Beterbiev won the October 2024 first fight by majority decision, according to Sporting News. Bivol won the February 2025 rematch by majority decision, the WBC reported. The WBC’s rematch result report and event page establish bout context, not purse amounts.
