A July 17, 2024 report listed the Fire TV Stick 4K bundle at $68.90 (37% off) and the Fire TV Stick 4K Max bundle at $78.90 (34% off). These are historical prices, not current offers.
What was included in the Prime Day bundles?
HotHardware reported that both bundles paired a Fire TV Stick with an Xbox Wireless Controller and a one-month Game Pass Ultimate offer. The Fire TV Stick 4K Max bundle included a Robot White Xbox Core Wireless Controller. The included month applied only to new users, according to the report; existing subscribers should not assume it added value to their purchase.

| Fire TV Stick 4K Max with Robot White Xbox Core Wireless Controller and one-month Game Pass Ultimate offer | $78.90 | 34% off |
Prices and discount figures are from HotHardware’s July 17, 2024 report. Amazon’s July 10 announcement also listed a Fire TV Stick with Xbox Wireless Controller bundle among Prime Day offers, but its “up to 68%” savings claim covered select devices and bundles broadly—not either Xbox bundle specifically. Could you play Xbox games on Fire TV without a console?
Yes. In its June 27, 2024 launch announcement, Xbox described cloud gaming on select Fire TV devices using the Xbox app. The setup did not include an Xbox console: it called for a supported Fire TV Stick, a Bluetooth-enabled wireless controller, and Game Pass Ultimate to access the cloud catalog. Xbox named the Fire TV Stick 4K Max (2023) and Fire TV Stick 4K (2023) as supported devices at launch. Xbox’s launch announcement.

Xbox listed the Xbox Wireless Controller, Xbox Adaptive Controller, PlayStation DualSense, and DualShock 4 as compatible controller examples. It also said Fortnite could be played without a membership. These are launch-era details, not a guarantee of current app availability, supported devices, or subscription terms. Check Xbox’s current requirements before buying hardware for this purpose.
What did the bundle’s discount mean for your budget?
The advertised discount alone did not determine whether the bundle was the better value. HotHardware’s July 2024 comparison noted that shoppers who did not qualify for the included Game Pass month might pay less by buying the components separately at their then-reported sale prices. That comparison is also historical, so it should not be used as a current price estimate.

What the launch announcement said about availability
Xbox’s June 2024 announcement said Game Pass Ultimate members in over 25 countries could use the service on the named Fire TV devices. That was the launch announcement’s reach, not a current availability guarantee. The same announcement described access to hundreds of cloud games, but it did not provide an independent performance benchmark or promise a particular streaming quality.
