A 2024 estimate put Sophia Thomalla’s potential rate at up to US$15,406 per sponsored post, compared with US$8,859 for Jelena Djokovic and US$3,466 for Morgan Riddle. Those figures are calculator-based estimates—not verified payments, signed campaign rates or annual income. The analysis covered 27 profiles connected to the Australian Open and was reported by PerthNow and B&T on January 23, 2024.
What the 2024 Instagram estimates said
“WAG” means wives and girlfriends; the 2024 analysis also included HABs, or husbands and boyfriends, of tennis players. World of Card Games examined social profiles of 27 prominent partners connected to the Australian Open and used an influencer-marketing calculator to estimate social influence and potential earnings per sponsored post, according to the contemporaneous PerthNow report.
| Person | Instagram followers reported in 2024 | Estimated potential earnings per sponsored post | Public-facing work described in the reporting |
|---|---|---|---|
| Sophia Thomalla | 1.4 million | Up to US$15,406 | German actress and television presenter; reported as dating Alexander Zverev since 2021 |
| Jelena Djokovic | 686,900 | Up to US$8,859 | Novak Djokovic’s wife; co-founder and CEO of the Novak Djokovic Foundation |
| Morgan Riddle | 209,000 | Up to US$3,466 | Fashion content creator and partner of Taylor Fritz |
The follower counts and potential rates above are figures from the 2024 reporting of the World of Card Games analysis; they are historical snapshots, not current account totals. The ranking reflects the calculator’s estimated potential, not evidence that Thomalla, Djokovic or Riddle actually received those amounts.
Why a per-post estimate is not income
A modeled rate answers a limited question: what a calculator estimated someone might charge or earn for one sponsored post, based on social-profile information. It does not reveal whether that person secured a campaign, how many sponsored posts they published, what a brand negotiated, or how much money they ultimately kept. The methodology described in the reporting does not establish those details.

A potential rate is not a salary, a guaranteed payment, a measure of yearly income or proof of a particular brand deal. The 2024 figures are best read as estimates of earning potential at that time.
What later coverage adds about Morgan Riddle and tennis creators
A later follower snapshot
A January 13, 2025 PerthNow profile reported Riddle at 418,000 Instagram followers and described her travel diaries, tournament appearances and event access. That later figure is a dated snapshot; it neither updates the other two 2024 counts nor verifies the earlier sponsored-post estimate.
Fashion and tennis as creator work
An Associated Press profile published July 11, 2025 discussed Riddle’s fashion content and Wimbledon video work. Riddle described tenniscore as: “Tenniscore isn’t just about pleated skirts and vintage polos. It’s about aspirational minimalism with a competitive edge.” The same AP report quoted her saying Wimbledon had “helped tennis become the chicest sport in the world.” These comments illustrate the fashion and event-content side of her public work; they are not evidence of a specific sponsorship payment. Associated Press, July 11, 2025.
Creator access and the spectator debate
Australian Open coverage in 2026 described brands inviting creators to premium experiences and seating in exchange for social content, alongside fan debate about creator access, queues and the spectator experience. ABC News Australia quoted Tennis Australia director of content Brie Stewart via Code Sports: “We understand that they’re coming anyway, and we want to be a part of the story they’re creating.” This is tournament-level context; it does not establish that any of the three women received a particular 2026 benefit. ABC News Australia, January 26, 2026.

The work behind a public profile
The 2024 B&T story also quoted a World of Card Games spokesperson on the demands of maintaining a public profile and developing an identity alongside an accomplished partner. The spokesperson said: “Many are likely to believe that WAGs and HABs have an easy and luxurious life when viewers see them on their TVs watching their partner from the sidelines, clad in designer gear with immaculate hair and make-up. But being a WAG or HAB is tougher than people think. Navigating the demands of a public profile, managing media attention and cultivating their own identities in the shadow of their accomplished spouse can be hard.” The comment is perspective from the analysis’s spokesperson, not a measurement of any individual’s workload or earnings.
