Intertrader appears to be a real forex and CFD broker, not an obvious fake operation. The important qualification is that the trading brand has been associated with a Gibraltar-based company and Gibraltar regulation, rather than being a straightforward FCA- or ASIC-regulated broker for every customer.
That distinction affects compensation schemes, leverage, dispute routes, and the protections available if the broker or a banking counterparty fails. A regulatory licence also does not make leveraged trading safe. Before opening an account, confirm the legal entity shown in the onboarding documents, check the current regulator register, and read the withdrawal and margin terms.
Intertrader verdict
| Question | Assessment |
|---|---|
| Is Intertrader an identifiable broker? | Yes. Intertrader has operated as an established trading brand rather than appearing to be an anonymous website. |
| Is it automatically safe because it is regulated? | No. Regulation reduces some operational risks but cannot prevent trading losses or guarantee every withdrawal. |
| Who regulates the relevant entity? | Intertrader has historically operated through a Gibraltar-based entity regulated by the Gibraltar Financial Services Commission. Confirm the current entity and licence before depositing. |
| Is it the same as an FCA-regulated broker? | Not necessarily. The regulator depends on your residence and the contracting entity named in your account agreement. |
| Overall risk level | A potentially legitimate broker, but one requiring careful checks because forex and CFDs are high-risk products and regulatory protections vary by jurisdiction. |
On the available general information, calling Intertrader a scam would be too strong. Calling it a low-risk broker would also be misleading. The more accurate description is an established, regulated trading brand whose suitability depends heavily on the entity serving you and the protections attached to that entity.
Who owns and regulates Intertrader?
Intertrader is a trading brand associated with InterTrader Limited, a Gibraltar-based company. Gibraltar’s financial regulator is the Gibraltar Financial Services Commission (GFSC). The relevant licence, company name, and registered address should appear in the broker’s website footer, client agreement, and account-opening disclosures.

Do not rely only on a logo saying “regulated.” Open the regulator’s own register and search for the exact legal name. Also check that:
- the website domain you are using is listed or linked to the authorised firm;
- the permission covers the products being offered;
- the firm is authorised to deal with clients in your country; and
- the payment recipient is the regulated company, not an individual, unrelated wallet, or different business.
A broker can use a legitimate brand while a clone website, unauthorised affiliate, or impersonator collects deposits. The legal entity in your contract matters more than the brand name in an online advertisement.
What does Gibraltar regulation mean?
Gibraltar regulation is not identical to regulation by the UK Financial Conduct Authority, the Australian Securities and Investments Commission, or a major European regulator. The practical consequences depend on the customer’s country and the current legal arrangements between jurisdictions.
Before funding an account, find out in writing:
- Which Intertrader entity will hold your account?
- Which regulator supervises that entity?
- Where are client funds held?
- Does a statutory compensation scheme apply to you?
- What complaint and ombudsman route is available?
- Are negative-balance protections contractual, regulatory, or unavailable?
These questions are especially important for customers outside Gibraltar or the UK. A regulated offshore or cross-border broker may be lawful but still offer a weaker dispute process than a domestic firm.

- BUILT FOR YOUR MARKET, FUTURES, STOCKS, FOREX, OPTIONS & CRYPTO: 4X is a mindset and process journal, not a strategy tool tied to one instrument. The plan, the trade log, the deep dive and the weekly review work the same whether you trade ES, EURUSD, SPY or BTC. Traders use it across all five markets every day.
- THE 2026 EDITION, REBUILT FROM TRADER FEEDBACK: Same trusted system, better in every way. An extra daily page for more room to log the session. Weekly reviews now grouped with each week's trades, so no more flipping back and forth. Crisp, darker print that's easy on the eyes after hours on a screen. A Quick-Start QR that scans straight to step-by-step instructions.
- NOT A NOTEBOOK, A COMPLETE 12-WEEK SYSTEM: Start with a one-time 9-part Trading Plan (your market, setups, risk rules and discipline checklist). Then twelve identical weeks: five Daily Logs, five Deep Dive trade pages, and a two-page Weekly Review. 189 guided pages, roughly 80 trades. Guided prompts walk you through every step. You never stare at a blank page.
- RATE YOUR EXECUTION, NOT YOUR RESULT: Your platform tracks the P&L. Nothing tracks the why. That review habit is the edge. You're 42% more likely to hit a goal you've written down.

Products and trading risks
Intertrader has marketed leveraged products such as forex, CFDs, and spread betting, with the exact range depending on the customer’s location and account type. Product availability should be checked inside the current website and client agreement rather than copied from an old broker directory.
The main risks are not unique to Intertrader:
- Leverage magnifies losses. A small currency move can consume a large portion of the account’s margin.
- Spreads can widen. News releases, market openings, thin liquidity, and overnight conditions can make an apparently cheap trade expensive to close.
- Stop orders are not guaranteed. In a fast market, execution may occur materially below the requested price.
- Financing charges accumulate. Positions held overnight may incur swaps or other funding costs.
- CFDs are not investments in the underlying asset. You generally receive price exposure, not ownership of the currency, share, index, or commodity.
Read the broker’s current product disclosure and costs schedule before trading. Pay particular attention to spreads, commissions, overnight financing, currency-conversion charges, inactivity fees, guaranteed-stop charges, and any minimum withdrawal amount.
Platforms and execution
Intertrader has been associated with mainstream retail trading platforms, including MetaTrader, alongside web-based trading tools. Platform availability can change by jurisdiction and account type. Download software only from links inside the verified broker website or the official platform provider.
Test execution with a small position before committing significant money. Record the quoted spread, order time, fill price, and account statement. If a dispute later arises, screenshots alone may not be enough; platform logs and dated statements are more useful.

Deposits and withdrawals: what to check
Funding and withdrawal procedures are among the most useful legitimacy checks. A credible broker should explain how to request a withdrawal, what verification is required, how long processing normally takes, and which fees apply.
Normal controls include identity verification, proof of address, source-of-funds checks, and returning money to the original payment method. Those measures can delay a payment, but they are not inherently evidence of fraud.
The following demands are substantially more concerning:
- paying a new deposit to unlock money already in the account;
- paying an advance “tax,” “insurance,” “security deposit,” or “release fee” to withdraw;
- sending money to a personal bank account or external crypto wallet;
- being told to trade more volume before a withdrawal can be processed; or
- being pressured by a salesperson to increase the account immediately.
A broker normally deducts legitimate fees from the account balance or discloses them before the transaction. If someone claiming to represent Intertrader asks for an additional payment before releasing funds, stop communicating through that channel and contact the broker using the contact details on its verified website. Do not pay a “recovery agent” who promises to retrieve the money for an upfront fee.
How to check Intertrader before depositing
- Find the legal entity. Look in the footer, terms, and account agreement. The brand name alone is insufficient.
- Check the regulator directly. Search the GFSC register, and check your domestic regulator if the broker claims local authorisation.
- Compare domains and contact details. Be wary of search advertisements, social-media accounts, and messaging-app contacts that are not linked from the official website.
- Read the withdrawal clause first. Confirm processing times, payment methods, fees, and any conditions that can delay payment.
- Make a small test withdrawal. Do this before building a large balance. Keep copies of the request and all correspondence.
- Check the payment recipient. The recipient should match the authorised entity or its disclosed payment processor.
- Use modest leverage. Never deposit money needed for rent, bills, taxes, or emergency savings.
Common red flags that are not proof by themselves
Negative reviews, a foreign registration, variable spreads, or a request for KYC documents do not by themselves prove that a broker is fraudulent. Review sites can contain genuine complaints, misunderstandings, affiliate promotion, or fake reviews.
What matters is the pattern and the evidence: unexplained changes to withdrawal terms, refusal to provide statements, pressure to deposit more, mismatched legal entities, or payment requests that contradict the published policy. A regulator listing is useful evidence that a company exists and has permission for certain activities, but it is not a guarantee of profitability, uninterrupted service, or full recovery after a dispute.

Intertrader is a poor fit for someone who wants a simple, long-term investment account, guaranteed returns, or strong domestic investor protection. A regulated stockbroker or fund platform is generally more appropriate for buying and holding diversified investments.
It may be considered only by an experienced trader who understands leveraged derivatives, has checked the applicable entity and protections, and can afford to lose the entire trading balance. Even then, compare its total costs and dispute arrangements with a locally regulated alternative.

FAQ
Is Intertrader a scam?
There is not enough basis to label the established Intertrader brand a scam. It has been associated with a real Gibraltar-based company and financial regulation. However, verify the current legal entity and regulator before depositing, because impersonators and unauthorised affiliates can misuse broker names.
Is Intertrader regulated by the FCA?
Do not assume so. The relevant Intertrader entity has historically been associated with Gibraltar regulation. Whether UK or another domestic protection applies depends on the entity serving your account and your residence.
Can I trust Intertrader with a large deposit?
Regulation does not remove market, counterparty, or withdrawal risk. Check the current licence, read the client agreement, test a small withdrawal, and avoid holding more than you can afford to lose.
Does Intertrader guarantee profits?
No legitimate broker can guarantee profits from forex or CFDs. Anyone promising fixed returns or pressuring you to deposit more is a major warning sign.
What should I do if someone asks for an extra payment before withdrawal?
Do not pay. Save the evidence, contact the broker through its verified website, notify your bank or card issuer, and report the matter to the relevant regulator and fraud authorities.
The Bottom Line
Intertrader appears to be a legitimate, identifiable forex and CFD brand rather than an obvious scam. That does not make it risk-free. Its Gibraltar connection means customers must establish exactly which entity serves them and what compensation, complaint, and negative-balance protections apply. Treat any request for an advance withdrawal fee or additional deposit as a serious red flag, and use a small test withdrawal before committing substantial funds.
