Although contemporaneous coverage used “2024” in its headline, the recruitment was for CCE 2023—not a current opening to apply for.

Can you still apply for APSC CCE 2024?
No. Scroll reported that applications opened on January 17, 2024, and closed at 5 p.m. on February 6, 2024. The Telegraph India also reported the January 17 opening date. Those dates are historical, and this application window is closed; they should not be used to plan a new application.

Anyone seeking to apply for a later cycle should look for a current APSC notification and follow the dates and instructions in that notice. No current competing application window is established by the reports cited here.

Scroll reported that applicants needed a degree and gave an age range of 21–38 as of January 1, 2023, with upper-age relaxations for reserved categories. These are reported details, not independently authenticated rules from the original advertisement. Applicants considering another cycle should confirm its eligibility criteria, age cut-off and any amendments in the official notification.

Initial reports described the preliminary exam as tentatively expected on March 17, 2024, and the mains as tentatively expected in June or July 2024. These were projections reported at the time, not verified final exam dates. Consult the relevant official APSC schedule for confirmed dates for any cycle.
