What the 2024 notice said
APSC advertised 27 Enforcement Inspector posts under the Transport Department in Advertisement No. 17/2024. The online application window ran from 13 August through 13 September 2024, and the fee could be paid through 15 September 2024. Scroll also reported the 13 September closing date on that day.
The notice directed candidates to apply online and said other application methods would be rejected. Its instructions were: “Applicants are required to apply online through APSC’s recruitment website. No other means/mode of application will be accepted and the Application will be summarily rejected,”
Where to check for a new opening
Use the APSC recruitment portal to look for a later Enforcement Inspector advertisement. It is the recruitment portal named in the notice, but a current listing for this post has not been verified. Do not treat the 2024 application page or dates as an open opportunity.

The following criteria and amounts belong only to the 2024 cycle. They are not confirmed requirements or fees for any future advertisement.
Education
The notice specified either a degree in Arts, Science or Commerce from a university recognized by the Government of Assam, or HSLC plus a three-year diploma in Automobile or Mechanical Engineering from a qualifying institute recognized by AICTE.

Age
For that cycle, candidates had to be 21–38 years old as of 1 January 2024. The notice listed age relaxations including five years for SC/ST candidates and three years for OBC/MOBC candidates. These historical age rules should not be used to assess eligibility for a later recruitment.
Application fees
The 2024 notice listed total fees of Rs. 297.20 for General applicants, Rs. 197.20 for SC/ST/OBC/MOBC applicants and Rs. 47.20 for BPL applicants. A future notice may set different amounts.
How the 2024 application process worked

- Visit the APSC recruitment portal and select “Register Here” to complete One Time Registration if you had not already registered.
- Sign in, complete the online application, and enter document details and supporting records.
- Review the form carefully before final submission. The notice said editing after submission was not allowed.
- Pay the applicable fee by the stated deadline and keep a printout of the submitted application.
- If called for verification, bring original certificates and self-attested copies as directed by the notice.
What is—and is not—confirmed now
The available information establishes the 2024 recruitment cycle, not whether APSC has since opened another Enforcement Inspector recruitment. It also does not establish current eligibility rules, fees, or application availability. Confirm those details in a new APSC advertisement before acting.
