The AIC Management Trainee 2025 application window is closed. Agriculture Insurance Company of India Limited accepted applications from 30 January through 20 February 2025, with the deadline at 20:00. A later AIC notice, dated 25 August 2025, said interviews had been held and provisionally shortlisted candidates were being considered for pre-employment medical examinations and other formalities. Check AIC’s official website for any current recruitment; the 2025 application dates and fees below are historical, not live directions.

What the 2025 AIC recruitment offered

AIC advertised 55 Management Trainee vacancies across India in its notification dated 29 January 2025. The total included 20 backlog vacancies, and the company said vacancy numbers were provisional and could change.

Discipline or category Vacancies
Generalist 30
IT 20
Actuarial 5
OBC 19
SC 9
ST 5
EWS 6
Unreserved 16
Persons with benchmark disabilities 8 reserved vacancies

The discipline totals and category totals describe different ways of classifying the advertised vacancies; they should not be added together. Candidates could apply for only one discipline. See AIC’s official recruitment notification for the complete vacancy and reservation details.

Dates, fees and recruitment status

Online registration and fee payment ran from 30 January to 20 February 2025, inclusive. The notice set the closing time as 20:00 on 20 February. The examination was tentatively planned for March or April 2025, with the final date to be announced on AIC’s website.

The non-refundable application fee and intimation charge were Rs. 200 for SC/ST/PwBD candidates and Rs. 1,000 for candidates in other categories; transaction charges could also apply. These were the 2025 application charges and cannot be treated as current payment instructions.

In its 25 August 2025 notice, AIC reported that interviews had taken place from 5 to 9 August and that candidates had been provisionally shortlisted for pre-employment medical examination and other formalities. That notice establishes the process had moved beyond applications and interviews, but does not establish the final appointment outcome. It also does not determine whether AIC has since issued a separate recruitment notice.

Eligibility in the 2025 notification

AIC assessed eligibility as of 1 December 2024. The criteria depended on the discipline, and the specialist routes were not interchangeable with the generalist route.

Generalist

Applicants needed a graduation or post-graduation degree in any discipline from a recognized university. The minimum marks were 60% for UR/OBC/EWS applicants and 55% for SC/ST/PwBD applicants.

Actuarial and IT

Actuarial eligibility included specified bachelor’s or master’s degrees in Statistics, Mathematics, Actuarial Sciences, Economics or Operations Research, with the marks threshold stated in the notification. An alternative route required a degree plus credits for at least two papers from the Institute of Actuaries of India or the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries (UK). IT applicants needed specified computing qualifications and technical certifications. Because the exact qualifying degrees, marks rules and certification options varied, applicants would have needed to check the relevant discipline criteria in AIC’s full notification rather than rely on a general “any graduate” description.

Age and other conditions

The general age range was 21–30 years as of 1 December 2024, with relaxations for specified categories. The applicable relaxation and supporting-document requirements depended on each candidate’s circumstances, so there was no single adjusted upper age limit for all applicants. The notification also set out nationality, category-document, EWS and disability-accommodation provisions.

Selection process and exam pattern

The selection process comprised an online computer-based examination and an interview, for 200 marks in total. The examination carried 150 marks and lasted 150 minutes, with objective and descriptive sections. Minimum qualifying marks were 60% for General/OBC/EWS candidates and 55% for SC/ST/PwBD candidates.

Exam subjects varied by discipline and included general subjects and professional knowledge. The exam month in the January notice was tentative. AIC said candidates would need to download a call letter from its website to enter the examination; downloads were expected to start around ten days before the exam. The notice also described centre allocation and accommodations for eligible candidates with disabilities.

Training, pay and service commitments

The notification set a one-year Management Trainee period with consolidated monthly pay of Rs. 60,000. After successful completion, a trainee could be absorbed as an Administrative Officer (Scale I), subject to satisfactory performance and the company’s stated assessment conditions.

For the Scale I position, the notice listed starting basic pay of Rs. 50,925, plus admissible allowances, and approximate gross monthly emoluments of Rs. 90,000 depending on posting. Gross emoluments were an estimate, not a guaranteed take-home salary.

The role could involve posting anywhere in India and travel to remote rural areas for field work. A two-year service bond applied after absorption, with liquidated damages for early resignation or termination under specified conditions. The full terms were in AIC’s 2025 recruitment notification.
