The “billion-dollar” description of the Jessica Simpson Collection refers to a historical figure, not a verified measure of its business today. In an April 2015 announcement filed with the SEC, Sequential Brands Group said the brand had approximately $1 billion in annual retail sales. That was a company-reported retail-sales figure at the time—not current revenue, profit, valuation, or Jessica Simpson’s personal wealth.
How big was the Jessica Simpson Collection?
Sequential Brands Group’s April 2, 2015 announcement described the Jessica Simpson Collection as a licensed lifestyle business spanning 31 product categories and nearly 20 licensees. The company listed footwear, apparel, fragrance, fashion accessories, maternity apparel, girls’ clothing, and home products among its categories, and reported approximately $1 billion in annual retail sales. Sequential Brands Group’s 2015 announcement is the source for that estimate.
Retail sales are not the same thing as the brand owner’s revenue or profit: they describe sales of branded products through retail channels, rather than how much the business itself necessarily collected. The announcement does not provide a current figure, and its 2015 estimate should not be presented as a measure of the collection’s present-day scale.
What does the Jessica Simpson Collection sell?
The brand’s current FAQ says it has more than 33 product categories and thousands of products. That is the brand’s own description, not an independently audited count or a sales report. Its current shop highlights shoes, clothing, swim, and heels, and displays platform sandals including the Immie Platform Sandal and Dany T-Strap Platform Sandal. The contrast with the 2015 announcement is useful but not a like-for-like business comparison: the earlier source described licensed categories and licensees, while the current site describes its assortment and shop. Neither description establishes current annual sales.
Where can you buy Jessica Simpson products?
The official FAQ says some products are sold through major department stores and specialty retailers. For home products, it names Amazon, Macy’s, and Wayfair. Those retailer references come from the brand and do not mean every category—or any particular current shoe style—is available at each store. The official shop is another place to see the collection’s currently displayed products.

For a shopping search, “Jessica Simpson women’s platform sandals” is a relevant product category because platform sandals appear on the official store. Check the individual retailer’s live listing and product details before relying on availability; the brand’s current shop does not verify stock for a specific style on Amazon or another marketplace.
What is known about the brand’s ownership?
Sequential Brands Group announced on April 2, 2015 that it would acquire a majority interest in the Jessica Simpson brand, including the Jessica Simpson Collection master license and other rights. Its April 8 announcement said the acquisition had closed; the earlier release said Simpson would continue to own the balance of the equity at that time. These are historical statements about the arrangement in 2015, not proof of the current ownership structure.

The current website’s terms identify With You LLC as the registrant of the JESSICA SIMPSON trademark and With You E-Commerce LLC as the provider of JessicaSimpson.com; they say the site operator uses the trademark with permission. Those disclosures identify the trademark registrant and site operator, but do not by themselves establish every current ownership interest in the brand.

The figure gives a sense of the collection’s reported retail reach in 2015, when the company described a broad licensed business. It does not tell a reader what the brand earns now, how profitable it is, what it is worth, or how much Simpson personally owns or earns today. The available disclosures provide no current audited sales, valuation, or profit measure for the collection.

A separate business milestone should not be confused with retail performance: Simpson’s memoir Open Book was described in her official 2020 announcement as debuting at number one in three New York Times bestseller categories. That book result concerns her memoir, not the collection’s financial results.
