Pierce and Keely Brosnan’s Malibu estate, known as Orchid House, was presented in a 2020 Architectural Digest tour as a Thai-inspired oceanfront home with open living spaces, carved doors and views of the Pacific. Its often-cited $100 million figure was a historical asking price—not evidence that the property sold for that amount or that it is worth that much today.
What is Orchid House?
In Architectural Digest’s 2020 tour, real-estate agent Chris Cortazzo described the property as a Thai-inspired home on Broad Beach. He put the main house at about 12,500 square feet, on a one-acre site with 117 feet of beach frontage. The tour also described four bedrooms in the main house, a separate guest house and three kitchens. These are figures and features presented in the tour, not independently verified current measurements. Architectural Digest’s 2020 tour
How the home looks inside
Entry and living spaces
The entrance sets the design tone with hand-carved doors inspired by Thailand. Inside, the living and dining areas share an open floor plan, with Brazilian teak floors connecting the spaces. Cortazzo characterized the look as a blend of French style and casual Asian influences. The layout and materials make the home feel connected to its setting rather than divided into a series of formal rooms.
Kitchen and breakfast area
The tour shows a kitchen with teak cabinetry and crystal-quartz countertops, opening toward a breakfast area facing the ocean. Cortazzo described three kitchens across the property, though the tour does not establish their current configuration.

What does the $100 million figure mean?
Architectural Digest and the Los Angeles Times reported in September 2020 that the estate was listed for $100 million. That is an asking price from that listing period, not a confirmed sale price, appraisal or present-day valuation. The Architectural Digest listing report and the Los Angeles Times report provide the contemporary listing context.

In September 2026, realestate.com.au reported that the Brosnans intended to leave after wildfire close calls, earthquake concerns and financial pressure. The estate’s Thai-inspired elements are evident in the carved entry doors and the Asian-influenced aesthetic Cortazzo described, but the available tour does not present Orchid House as a replica of a traditional Thai home. It also credits architects Ross and Ralph Anderson for the architectural work. Pierce Brosnan’s official website offers a separate glimpse of his artistic interests, opening its feature on the home with the note that he dreamed of being a painter before becoming an actor.
