Reports say Jumbolair Aviation Estates, the Florida fly-in community where John Travolta owns a separate home, was offered for $10.5 million in February 2026. That does not establish that Travolta’s own property was listed—or that the community remains for sale today. The latest located report is dated February 25, 2026, so its asking price and sale status are not confirmed as of October 7, 2026.
What was reported for sale?
The reported offering was Jumbolair Aviation Estates, an aviation community and airport property near Anthony, north of Ocala—not a listing identified as Travolta’s personal estate. Ocala-News reported on February 25, 2026 that the broader property was on the market for $10.5 million. That is a dated report, not confirmation of a current listing or closing.
The same community was reported for sale at $10.5 million in 2019. That earlier description covered more than 550 acres and a 7,550-foot private, lighted runway, alongside industrial, residential, equestrian, and event facilities. Those details describe the 2019 offering and should not be treated as a current inventory. Ocala-News’s July 2019 report described the runway as capable of accommodating aircraft as large as a Boeing 737.
How the community differs from Travolta’s home
Jumbolair is the larger development; Travolta’s home is a separate property within it. The Ocala Gazette reported in March 2021 that the larger Jumbolair property sold for $9.5 million, with the transaction closing February 26, 2021. The reported sale included 550 acres, the 7,550-foot runway, warehouse space, a mansion, and a banquet facility.

In that same report, Travolta’s separate estate was described as nearly 20 acres, with a 6,600-square-foot home and space to park his Boeing 707 beside it. The community’s mansion and Travolta’s residence are not the same property. The $9.5 million figure is the reported 2021 sale price for the larger property, not a current valuation of either asset. The listing agent, Bartow McDonald, said of offers for the larger property: “We received multiple offers from a number of people both in the US and a number of other countries.”
Does a current home listing confirm Travolta’s estate is for sale?
No. A BEX Realty community page accessed October 7, 2026 displayed two other Jumbolair homes: one at 1801 NE 77th Street, listed at $1.425 million, and one at 9390 NE 16th Terrace, marked under contract at $259,000. The page does not identify either as Travolta’s home, and it cautions that its displayed data may not include every participating MLS listing. These listings do not establish the status of the broader community or Travolta’s individual estate. See the BEX Realty Jumbolair community page.

Why runway access matters to a buyer
The runway is more than an amenity: access and operating rules have been contested in court. In May 2026, the Ocala Gazette reported that Jumbolair residents represented by their owners association had sued the developer, related entities, and Marion County over runway control, development, and the county’s land-use determination. The Gazette also reported separate litigation involving Hawker Investment Trust, which owns Travolta’s estate.
As reported by the Gazette on May 14, 2026, a circuit judge had ruled in November 2025 that a 60,000-pound runway weight restriction was void and unenforceable because the required 90% homeowner vote had not been obtained. The Gazette further reported that a March 2026 temporary injunction blocked enforcement of “2026 Airport Procedures” and allowed continued safe operation of Hawker’s Boeing 737-300; the developer filed an appeal on April 13, 2026. These were procedural developments, not a final resolution. A buyer would need to verify current court status, access rights, and operating rules rather than assume they are settled. Read the Ocala Gazette’s May 2026 account of the dispute.

Land-use rules were also under consideration. Ocala-News reported in February 2026 that Marion County commissioners were considering draft Land Development Code provisions for private airports and fly-in communities. The report said the draft would treat existing lawfully established communities as legal conforming uses and identified a second public hearing scheduled for March 23, 2026. The report does not establish what happened at that hearing or the current status of the rules. The February 2026 Ocala-News report covers the proposal.
