To change the mobile number linked to your UAN, sign in to the official EPFO Member Interface and open Member Profile. Choose the mobile-number edit option and follow the portal’s verification prompts. EPFO’s older manual describes verifying the new number with a PIN; use the live prompts if the current screen differs.
Change the mobile number linked to your UAN

Open the official EPFO Member Interface and sign in using your UAN and password. The portal also provides a Forgot Password link if you cannot sign in.

Open Member Profile and choose the mobile-number edit option. EPFO’s older manual calls the menu area Profile and labels the option Edit Mobile Number.

Enter the new number and follow the on-screen verification instructions. The older manual describes requesting a PIN, receiving it on the new number, and submitting it in the portal. Because the signed-in screens are not publicly visible and may have changed, follow the current portal prompts if the labels or steps differ.

Keep access to the new number while completing any requested verification. Never share an OTP or password with someone who contacts you claiming to represent EPFO.
If you no longer have access to your old number
If you cannot sign in, start with Forgot Password on the Member Interface. EPFO’s Employees’ Information Booklet describes a recovery route for members who have forgotten their password and changed their registered mobile: match the requested KYC details, enter a new mobile number, and receive an OTP on it. The live recovery flow may differ; if the KYC route is not offered or does not work, contact EPFO through an official channel.

Update your email address or other contact details
EPFO’s older UAN member portal manual lists Edit Email ID in the Profile menu, alongside Edit Mobile Number. It also lists Update KYC Information and Edit Personal Detail. Open Profile and follow the options and verification prompts currently shown. The accessible public portal does not show the signed-in email workflow, so the exact current email-verification steps are not established.

The EPFO Member Interface displays 14470 in its UAN activation guidance. The EPFO Member Passbook page lists 1800118005 as a help desk/toll-free number. Check the official pages for the current contact details and hours, since the numbers may serve different issues and can change.

EPFO’s Member Interface warns: “EPFO never requests personal information such as Aadhaar, PAN, or bank details over the phone.” It also says EPFO does not contact members to ask for monetary deposits. The Member Passbook page separately cautions against sharing Aadhaar, PAN, bank details, or OTPs, or making payments in response to calls. Use only official portal flows for account changes and recovery.
