Is Rs 410 still Aramco’s price?
The available reporting does not confirm Aramco’s current high-octane price. A separate PSO listing showed its own product, Octane Euro 5, at Rs 410 per litre in listed cities, effective September 30, 2026. Did the government fuel policy cause the cut?
On March 24, 2026, Pakistan’s Ministry of Information and Broadcasting reported that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif had imposed an immediate ban on high-octane fuel use in government vehicles after a petroleum levy increase. The available sources do not establish that this policy caused Aramco’s reported price change three days later. The ministry announcement provides policy context, not an explanation from Aramco.

No price report establishes that a fuel grade is right for a particular vehicle. Follow the grade specified by the vehicle manufacturer; do not infer compatibility for a specific model from the March price news. TechJuice notes high-octane fuel is used in some turbocharged and high-compression engines, but that does not support a blanket recommendation for all such vehicles.
