Stuff Your Earbuds Day was a free audiobook promotion focused on romance titles by indie and hybrid authors. The 2025 guide described a romance-only selection, including subgenres such as fantasy romance and historical romance—not a general all-genre audiobook giveaway. The guide directed readers to the Romance Audiobookworms list to browse titles. Each book had its own retailer or direct-download options, so the available platforms depended on the title. It listed Google Play Books, Kobo, Apple Books, Spotify, Chirp, Barnes & Noble Nook, and author-direct delivery through BookFunnel. The guide said readers needed free accounts to claim titles.
When did the 2025 event run?
The 2025 promotion ran November 14–15. Those dates have passed. Kobo’s event page says the promotion will return, but does not give a date for its next run. A separate offer displayed on Kobo’s page for May 2026 is not confirmation of a November 2026 event. Kobo’s event page is the place to check for a future announcement.

How could readers claim the free audiobooks?
- Browse the Romance Audiobookworms list. Use the event guide’s list to find a book that interests you.
- Check the individual book’s options. Follow the retailer or direct-download link shown for that title. Not every book was available through every listed service, and availability could vary by region.
- Use the required account or delivery method. The 2025 guide said free accounts were needed. For a BookFunnel title, follow the author’s direct delivery instructions; for a retailer listing, use that retailer’s claim process.
- Review the title and platform terms. The guide said readers keep downloaded titles, but access and retention terms can differ by retailer or delivery route. Check the terms attached to the specific book before claiming it.
How to choose a title
Use the listing details to find a book that fits your tastes and the access method you prefer. The event directory was also intended to help readers discover authors and narrators.
- Romance subgenre and content: Check the description for the kind of romance and themes you want.
- Synopsis and narrator: Read the book description and, where available, listen to a sample before choosing.
- Regional availability: Confirm that the specific retailer link works where you live.
- Access style: Decide whether you would rather listen in a retailer app or receive a direct download.
- Existing accounts: If you already use one of the listed services, see whether the title can be claimed there.
Why was Audible not included?
Everyday Reading’s 2025 guide said Audible was excluded because participating authors could not set their audiobook prices to free there through the event. The guide’s listed access routes were other retailers and author-direct delivery.

Camilla Isley’s November 14, 2025 promotional post described the event as featuring “Over 100 romance audiobooks.” That is the author’s promotional wording, not an independently verified event-wide count.
