Amazon’s October shopping event, Prime Big Deal Days, runs October 6–7, 2026, and early offers are already appearing. Amazon says the 48-hour event will feature Prime-member-exclusive deals across more than 35 categories; check each live listing for its current price, stock and membership terms before buying.
What to know about October Prime Big Deal Days
Amazon’s official Prime Big Deal Days announcement sets the event for October 6–7. That is a separate event from June’s Prime Day. Amazon says all-deal access requires Prime membership, with an eligible free trial available. Deals are available while supplies last.
Amazon says new deal drops begin three times daily at midnight, 8 a.m. and 1 p.m. PDT. These are scheduled opportunities to check, not a promise that a particular product will be discounted or remain in stock.
Which early deals are worth checking?
Headphones
TechRadar’s September 15 roundup reported early October offers in headphones and named Beats and Bose among the brands. It did not establish a specific model and live price in the material available here, so treat this as a category lead rather than a recommendation. Compare noise cancellation, comfort and fit, battery life, sound profile, microphone quality and compatibility with your devices. Amazon’s June preview also described deal alerts, including the query “Alert me to deals on headphones with noise cancellation”; that is June guidance, not confirmation of an October offer. OLED TVs
TechRadar’s September 15 report listed the 65-inch LG C6 OLED at Amazon for $1,599.99, describing it as $1,100 below a stated prior price. That is a dated report, not a verified current offer; check both the live selling price and the reference price before relying on the claimed reduction. Tom’s Guide’s September 30 roundup listed Amazon prices of $997 for the Samsung 48-inch S85H and $1,098 for the Sony 48-inch Bravia 6. Those too are dated snapshots, not current-price guarantees. The reports are linked here: TechRadar’s early-deal roundup and Tom’s Guide’s OLED roundup.
Before choosing an OLED, check screen size against your viewing distance, how bright or reflective the room is, supported HDR formats, gaming refresh rate and ports, and the smart-TV platform. Confirm the exact model and current price: a television offer is only comparable when its size and features are clear.

Laptops
TechRadar’s September 15 roundup grouped early laptop offers and mentioned Samsung, Apple, HP and Dell, but the reporting available here does not establish a specific model or live price. Compare the machine against your workload: processor and graphics, memory and storage, battery life, weight, display, ports and operating system. Avoid buying based on a brand name or a discount label without checking the full model specification and the current price.
How to judge a deal before you buy
- Open the live product listing. Confirm the exact model, configuration, seller, delivery estimate and current price; dated roundup prices can change.
- Check the reference price. If a listing advertises a reduction, compare its claimed previous price with the current listing and other recent retailer prices before treating the saving as meaningful.
- Check eligibility and stock. Confirm whether the offer requires Prime and whether the item can ship to your location. Amazon says event deals last while supplies last.
- Compare the specifications that affect your use. For headphones, focus on fit, cancellation and compatibility; for an OLED TV, size, room conditions and gaming or HDR features; for a laptop, workload, memory, storage, battery and portability.
- Set a spending limit. A discount is useful only if the product meets a need and fits your budget. Do not treat a sale price or a countdown as a reason to buy a more expensive model than you planned.
What June’s Prime Day discounts do—and don’t—tell you
Amazon’s June 2026 preview advertised up to 45% off select headphones and earbuds, up to 40% off select big-screen TVs, and up to 35% off select laptops, cellphones and tablets. These were maximums for selected products during the June event, not expected or guaranteed October discounts. Amazon’s October announcement gives the event’s duration and category scope, not a promised discount rate for these products.
