To get paid by Twitch, complete the required monetization and tax onboarding, select a payout method available in your region, and reach its minimum balance: $50 for most listed methods or $100 for wire transfer. Eligible payments are generally initiated around the 15th of the month after the revenue month; bank or payment-provider settlement takes additional time.
What you need to complete before Twitch can pay you
Twitch payouts are for eligible monetizing creators, including Affiliates and Partners. In the Creator Dashboard, finish each onboarding item that applies to your account. Twitch’s Affiliate onboarding guide describes three stages: enable two-factor authentication (2FA), complete account details, and set up revenue. Account details include the Monetized Streamer Agreement; revenue setup includes the required tax interview or interviews and a payout method. Twitch says onboarding is complete only when all required items show as completed.
Use consistent, accurate details across your Twitch account, tax forms, and payout information. Mismatches or incorrect payment details can delay or disrupt a payout.
Submit the required tax information
Twitch requires valid taxpayer identity information from payees in the United States and elsewhere. Depending on your circumstances, the tax interview may request W-9 or W-8 information, as well as additional regional forms. Twitch says incomplete or expired tax information may lead to default withholding of up to 30% on future payments until you correct it. This describes Twitch’s payment process, not your personal tax obligations; consult a qualified tax professional for advice.

Complete any regional interview shown in your dashboard
Tax and reporting requirements depend on where you live. Twitch says some streamers may see additional interviews, including DAC7 for EU-based streamers. Its DAC7 guidance says affected EU monetizing streamers must complete the interview by November 23, 2026, to avoid payout blocks. Twitch also says tax information must be reconfirmed every three years or payouts may be blocked. Check the Creator Dashboard for interviews marked as required.

If your balance is below the minimum for your selected method, it carries forward rather than being paid out. Twitch’s listed options and their availability vary by region, so confirm which methods appear in your dashboard before choosing. Twitch also says its third-party payout processor charges transaction fees; rejected payouts caused by incorrect information can incur fees as well.
When does Twitch pay you?
Twitch counts revenue by calendar month. Revenue from one month generally becomes eligible for payment in the following month. According to Twitch’s When Am I Getting Paid? guidance, payment is made on or around the 15th when your balance meets the applicable minimum, your account is eligible, and there is no payout issue.

How to choose a payout method
Compare the options available in your region based on the minimum balance, transfer fees, settlement time, and whether you want payments sent when eligible or prefer to hold them. Twitch lists direct deposit/ACH, check, wire transfer, PayPal, and holding payouts; not every option is available everywhere.
