If you scratched part of the PIN off a Roblox gift card, the card may still be redeemable. Start by reading whatever characters remain and checking common lookalikes, then redeem in a web browser at Roblox.com/redeem. If the PIN is unreadable or still fails, contact Roblox Support with your purchase evidence and card images. Roblox’s gift-card terms say that lost or damaged value is not replaced or replenished, so treat support as a way to resolve a redemption problem, not a guaranteed recovery of the balance.
Check how much of the PIN is still readable
What you can do depends mostly on how much of the PIN survived the scratching. Use this table to find your situation.

Try lookalike characters before anything else
Roblox notes that several letters and numbers can look alike. Its help article suggests these substitutions when a code returns an error:

Change one character at a time so you can tell which substitution, if any, works. Roblox’s suggestions are for ambiguous characters that are still visible. They do not restore any part of the PIN that was scratched away.

Redeem through the supported route
Roblox’s gift-card help article describes redemption through a browser. Follow these steps:
- Sign in to the Roblox account that should receive the value.
- Open Roblox.com/redeem in a web browser.
- Enter the PIN, applying a lookalike substitution where a character is ambiguous.
According to the same article, the standard mobile app and consoles do not support gift-card redemption. Samsung Galaxy users are the exception, with an in-app route. Check the Roblox help article on redeeming and spending gift cards for the current wording, since platform support can change.

Contact Roblox Support when the PIN is unreadable or still fails
Roblox’s redemption help article gives the next step if redemption still fails: “If you are still unable to redeem your Gift Card, please contact Roblox support.” When you write to support, Roblox asks for the following. Include only the details you actually have.
- Your Roblox username
- The purchase date and amount
- The place and city of purchase
- Your country of residence
- The PIN, as far as you can read it
- The card serial number
- A receipt image
- Front and back images of the card, or the full image of an e-gift
- An image of any redemption error message
Images should be JPG or PNG files. Describe the scratching plainly, for example which characters are missing and when the damage happened. Do not send your card or PIN to anyone other than Roblox Support through its official help process. Be cautious of anyone offering to recover a PIN for a fee.

What the receipt and the terms do and do not cover
Roblox’s Retail Codes article tells buyers to keep the receipt. It also says that if a code was sealed and untampered with at purchase, you should contact support with the receipt and the code. Accidental scratching after purchase is a different situation, and that specific condition may not match yours. Keep the receipt anyway, because support asks for purchase details.
Roblox’s U.S. Terms and Conditions for Roblox Gift Cards and Credits state that lost, damaged, or stolen gift-card value will not be replaced or replenished. Roblox’s U.K. Terms and Conditions for Roblox Gift Cards and Credits say the same. These terms apply to the value on the card, while the support process applies to getting a PIN redeemed. A support reply can help with the second without changing the first.

Options that will not fix the problem
- A new gift card is a separate purchase. It does not restore value on the scratched card.
- A magnifier may make faint characters easier to inspect. Roblox does not recommend this approach, and it cannot recreate characters that were removed.
- Scratch-off or repair tools can further damage the card and make the PIN harder to read.
- A general book of Roblox codes does not resolve a damaged-PIN case.
Protect the next card
- Photograph the front and back of the card when you buy it. Roblox’s support request asks for these images, and a photo taken before any scratching makes that request easier to complete.
- Keep the receipt with the card until the balance is fully redeemed.
Scratching the PIN is recoverable only when enough of it survives to be entered correctly. Read it carefully, test the lookalikes, redeem through the browser route, and document any damage before you contact support.
