This is an unofficial ranking, not a club-published payroll: SalaryLeaks says it last updated the figures on 10 August 2026 and notes that Championship salary data is rarely published comprehensively.

Why other wage lists give a different answer
Salary-estimate publishers do not agree on Watford’s highest earner. Capology lists Edoardo Bove at an estimated £30,000 gross fixed weekly salary, excluding bonuses; SalarySport lists Stephy Mavididi at £38,000 a week. SalaryLeaks instead puts Louza first at £30,000 a week.

| SalaryLeaks | Imrân Louza | £30,000 | Estimate; bonuses listed separately |
| Capology | Edoardo Bove | £30,000 | Estimated gross fixed salary, excluding bonuses |
| SalarySport | Stephy Mavididi | £38,000 | Weekly estimate; basis not stated here |
These lists should not be merged into a single ranking. They differ in their reported leaders and may vary in player coverage, timing, and treatment of bonuses or other compensation. None of these figures should be read as an official Watford disclosure.

Watford’s latest accounts in the cited annual report cover the year ended 30 June 2025. The Watford Association Football Club Limited reported wages and salary costs of £28.1 million, compared with £33 million in 2024, on turnover of £26 million. The report gives a wages-to-revenue ratio of 108% and records a 14th-place league position for that reporting year. Director S I Duxbury signed the report on 7 January 2026; its strategic report says, “Salary costs have decreased overall from £33m to £28m.”

The company’s annual report and financial statements provide aggregate club-level context, not a player-by-player salary table. The club’s total wages and salary costs cover a broader accounting measure and different period than an individual player’s estimated weekly or annual base pay, so the figures are not directly comparable.

How to read the estimates
- Weekly wage is not necessarily total compensation. SalaryLeaks displays bonus estimates separately; Capology describes Bove’s figure as fixed gross pay excluding bonuses. Different pay definitions can change comparisons.
- Annual figures are not additional verified disclosures. SalaryLeaks presents the annual base salaries and bonuses as estimates too.
- The season and update date matter. These figures are presented for 2026–27, and SalaryLeaks’ page was last updated on 10 August 2026. Transfers, contract changes, and publisher revisions can make a list outdated.
- Club accounts answer a different question. The 2024–25 accounts report overall costs for a completed financial year; they do not establish any current player’s weekly pay.
