SalaryLeaks estimates that Oleksandr Zinchenko was Nottingham Forest’s highest-paid player in the 2025/26 season, at about £120,000 a week (£6.2 million a year). These are published estimates, not official wage disclosures from the club or the player. Other estimates differ: bet365 News, republishing a Capology table, puts Morgan Gibbs-White at £110,000 a week rather than £100,000. This guide sets out the figures, the source behind each one, and why they do not always agree.

How another published estimate differs
bet365 News’ Nottingham Forest wage page attributes its table to Capology and describes the amounts as estimated gross weekly pay, not official figures. The page was updated 27 July 2026. Its figures for the two players it shows are set out below against SalaryLeaks.

The two tables cannot simply be merged. They come from different publishers, use different methods, and may reflect different snapshots, so a figure from one should not be placed next to a figure from the other as though both describe the same measurement. If you quote a number, name the source and its date.
What these wage figures measure
Most of the figures on both pages are expressed as gross weekly pay, with annual totals calculated from the weekly amount. Before comparing numbers, check four things:
Rank #2
- Officially Licensed
- 4 oz | 100% Cotton
- Double needle stitching throughout
- Shoulder to shoulder neck tape
- Season and update date. SalaryLeaks’ table is labelled 2025/26 and was last updated 11 June 2026. bet365 News’ page was updated 27 July 2026, and its context text appears to shift between seasons, so its season scope is not clear from the page alone.
- Gross weekly versus annual. Annual figures in the SalaryLeaks table are the weekly estimate multiplied by 52, rounded to one decimal place.
- Estimated versus official. Both sources describe their figures as estimates. Neither is a club statement, and no named official statement confirming individual Forest wages was found in the sources reviewed.
- Named basis for each player. SalaryLeaks says its Premier League salary data draws on club wage bills in UEFA annual financial reports, reliable UK football publications, and contract details reported by tier-one journalists. Its page also uses verification marks for figures tied to trusted reporting. Those marks are a property of the individual row, so a figure without one should be treated as less firmly sourced.
Two different squad totals
SalaryLeaks gives two team figures that should not be confused. Its insights section estimates first-team salaries for 2025/26 at £91.2 million. Its table header separately shows a current wage bill of £108.1 million. The first is a first-team salary estimate for the season; the second is a wider wage-bill figure with a different definition. Neither should be read as a replacement for the other.
What does not verify wages
Two official sources often appear in searches about football pay, but neither is a wage dataset.

- The Premier League’s 2025/26 updated squad lists confirm which players the league recorded for Forest. They contain roster information and no salary data, so they can confirm that a player was in the squad but not what he earns.
- The Football Association’s “Football Agent Fees 2025/2026” publication lists net agent fees paid by clubs during its stated period. It is published for regulatory purposes, carries no warranty of accuracy, reliability or completeness, and is not evidence for player pay rankings.
How to check a salary figure before you rely on it
- Confirm the season the table covers. A 2025/26 table does not describe the 2026/27 squad or any contract signed since.
- Check the update date printed on the page, not the date of the search result.
- Look for the word “estimate” or “official” and note which one applies.
- Confirm whether the figure is weekly or annual, and whether it is gross.
- If a second source differs, compare the methodology before deciding which figure to use. The difference may reflect a different snapshot rather than an error.
The 2025/26 figures above are the most detailed estimates available from these sources, but they describe a completed season. Anyone checking current pay should look for a table updated for the 2026/27 season and treat it with the same caution.
