The headline phrase “Assistant Professor and 17 other posts” suggests 18 positions, so the headline and body do not agree. Deadline and application fee reported in 2024
The report gave a closing time of May 16, 2024, at 11:59 p.m. That deadline has passed. It also reported a Rs 25 application fee, with exemptions for women, SC/ST candidates, and Persons with Benchmark Disability candidates. These are historical details from the 2024 report, not terms to apply to a current vacancy. Check the applicable official notice for the fee, exemptions, and deadline for any new recruitment.
How to find current UPSC recruitment notices
- Open UPSC’s Recruitment Advertisements page and identify a current notice. The page showed 2026 advertisements and an archive link when accessed on October 8, 2026.
- Read the official notice for the specific post before applying. Confirm the post title, vacancy count, qualifications, age limit, reservation details, fee and exemptions, location or department, deadline, and selection process.
- Use UPSC’s Apply Online page to reach the relevant application route. UPSC lists the Online Recruitment Application for various recruitment posts there; the page also directs examination applicants to the new application portal at upsconline.nic.in.
- Follow the instructions and document requirements in that notice and application portal. Save the submitted application and any confirmation for your records.
What is not confirmed about the old notice
The 2024 report linked an official PDF at Advt-No-08-2024-engl-260424.pdf. Access to that historical PDF redirected to the UPSC homepage, so the post-by-post titles, qualifications, age limits, and category-wise vacancy allocation cannot be established from the available material here. Do not rely on the headline alone to determine eligibility or the exact roles.
