What the official notices say for specific posts
Station Controller cum Train Operator
UPMRC’s June 22, 2024 notice says the SCTO written test took place on May 14, 2024, and lists 155 vacancies for the post. It identifies candidates provisionally qualified for the Psycho Aptitude Test, in a 1:16 ratio. That is a qualification list for the next stage, not a final appointment list.
The notice says candidates who qualify the Psycho Aptitude Test and rank sufficiently high may be called for iris verification, document verification and medical examination. It states: “The schedule for shortlisted Psycho Aptitude Test will be intimated in due course.” Check the UPMRC career portal for subsequent schedules and your own status.
Assistant Manager/Electrical
The official Assistant Manager/Electrical notice records 11 vacancies and says the computer-based test took place May 11, 12 and 14, 2024. It calls the listed candidates provisionally shortlisted for document verification and medical examination. Progression remains subject to medical fitness, eligibility and the recruitment terms; the listing alone does not establish appointment. The notice says biometric/document verification and medical schedules would be communicated later through the UPMRC career section.

No single stage applies to every post. The word “result” can refer to a written-test outcome or a provisional shortlist for the next stage. For SCTO, the notice is specifically for the Psycho Aptitude Test stage; for Assistant Manager/Electrical, the shortlist is for document verification and medical examination. Read the heading and conditions in your post’s official notice before treating a listing as a final selection.
UPMRC’s notices also say that objections were received May 17–20, 2024, and that the answer key was reviewed or revised, with full marks awarded for ambiguous questions. Those dates describe the 2024 examination process and do not determine a candidate’s current status.
