That form window ran from 28 October to 17 November 2024 and has closed. What the 7,401 figure means
NHM Uttar Pradesh’s corrigendum dated 25 October 2024 set out 7,401 contractual Community Health Officer posts. It described the positions as being at Sub-Health Centre-level Ayushman Arogya Mandirs in rural and village areas, working with the primary healthcare team. The total is a 2024 figure, not evidence of a new or increased vacancy count in 2026. NHM Uttar Pradesh recruitment opportunities and the 25 October 2024 corrigendum are the official references.

The corrigendum also listed horizontal reservation figures of 1,480 for women, 296 for persons with disabilities, 370 for ex-servicemen and 148 for dependents of freedom fighters. These are figures from that notice; consult any future notification for its own vacancy and reservation details.
Did the application window reopen?
The 2024 corrigendum specified that online applications opened on 28 October 2024 at 11:00 AM and closed on 17 November 2024 at 11:59 PM. Both dates have passed. The official recruitment opportunities page reviewed for this article does not confirm a later reopening for this drive. A claim or social-media post saying that registration is open is not enough to establish a new deadline or application route.

The available official materials do not rule out a later or unindexed notice, so check the portal directly for the latest update.
What applicants needed under the 2024 notice
The following conditions describe the 2024 drive only. They should not be treated as current eligibility rules unless a new notice repeats them.
Education and nursing registration
- The notice required B.Sc. Nursing or Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing with an integrated Certificate in Community Health for Nurses (CCHN) curriculum, from an institution or university recognized by the Indian Nursing Council or a State Nursing Council, for the specified academic years.
- Applicants were required to be registered with the UP Nurses and Midwives Council. Candidates registered with another state nursing council could apply under the notice, provided they obtained UP council registration within 90 days of provisional joining; the notice said failure to do so could result in cancellation.
- People already working as a CHO in Uttar Pradesh were ineligible for that recruitment drive.
Age
The 2024 corrigendum set an age range of 21–40 years as of the last date for online submission and specified upper-age relaxations by category. Because that application period is over, those thresholds do not establish eligibility for any future recruitment.
Pay and service commitment
For the 2024 posts, the notice specified a monthly honorarium of ₹25,000, with a performance-based incentive of up to ₹10,000 monthly after posting. It also specified a ₹2.50 lakh surety bond and a minimum three-year service commitment. These were terms of the 2024 notice, not a guarantee of pay or conditions in a later drive.

NHM Uttar Pradesh’s syllabus notification dated 24 December 2024 described a 100-mark exam lasting two hours. It allocated 20% to general knowledge related to health and current affairs, analytical skills and communication skills, and 80% to domain-specific questions. Domain areas listed in the notification included:
- Anatomy and physiology
- Community health, epidemiology and disease prevention
- Child and maternal health, nutrition, family planning and adolescent health
- Communicable and non-communicable diseases, immunization and national health programmes
- Emergencies and general pharmacology
The syllabus is useful for understanding the exam structure described in that notification, but a future recruitment notice may change the selection process or syllabus.
How to avoid fake recruitment links and payment requests
NHM Uttar Pradesh advises applicants to rely on its official website for recruitment information. Its opportunities page states: “National Health Mission, Uttar Pradesh will never ask for money during any stage of the recruitment process.” The NHM homepage also carries a warning about fake websites and fraudulent recruitment. If a site or caller demands payment while claiming to secure an application or appointment, do not treat that request as official; verify the notice through NHM’s own site.
