Which exam and posts did the answer key cover?
The key related to Uttar Pradesh Metro Rail Corporation Limited’s 2024 recruitment examination for Executive and Non-Executive posts. Posts named in the release included Station Controller-cum-Train Operator (SCTO), Junior Engineer and Maintainer. The exam took place from May 11 to May 14, 2024, as part of a recruitment drive for 439 posts, according to Scroll’s report.

How candidates accessed the key and submitted objections
The instructions reported at the time directed candidates to UPMRC’s official website, then its Careers section and the answer-key link. Candidates logged in with their credentials to view and download the key. Objections had to be submitted using the link on the homepage; the instructions said objections through any other channel would not be entertained.
The reported objection fee was Rs 50 per suggestion, and the deadline was May 20, 2024. Both are historical details, not a current opportunity to submit an objection. The original answer-key page’s present availability has not been verified.

What UPMRC decided after reviewing SCTO objections
In a notice dated June 22, 2024, UPMRC said it examined objections received from May 17 through May 20 and revised the SCTO answer key. The notice states: “For all questions / answers where ambiguity was found, full marks have been awarded to all candidates to maintain the highest standard of fairness.” Read the official UPMRC SCTO notice.

UPMRC’s notice said candidates who qualified the Psycho Aptitude Test and ranked high enough would be called for iris verification, document verification and a medical examination.
