The Rajasthan Public Service Commission’s Senior Teacher Grade II (Second Grade) recruitment for 2,129 posts opened for online applications on 26 December 2024 and closed on 24 January 2025. This is a historical notice, not an open application: candidates should use the official RPSC portal for any later exam or recruitment updates.
What the 2024 RPSC teacher recruitment covered
The recruitment was reported as the RPSC Senior Teacher Grade II Competitive Examination 2024, for Rajasthan government schools. Scroll identified the notice as Advertisement No. 22/2024-25, while the Rajasthan government employment bulletin listed a matching recruitment of 2,129 posts as Advertisement No. 21/2024-25. Because the detailed official notice is needed to settle that discrepancy, applicants should verify the number against the original advertisement rather than relying on either report alone. Scroll reported 2,129 vacancies across eight subjects. The subject figures below add up to that total. Scroll.

The state employment bulletin also divided its matching total into NSA (1,727) and SA (402), but the retrieved bulletin did not explain those abbreviations. Reported exam pattern
A contemporaneous Indian Express report described two papers. The figures are the reported structure; candidates should consult the official detailed syllabus and any amendments for paper content, qualifying conditions and marking rules. The Indian Express.

Eligibility and age: verify the detailed advertisement
Contemporaneous reports summarized eligibility as graduation with relevant subject study, Hindi written in Devanagari, and knowledge of Rajasthani culture. They do not establish the final subject-specific degree requirements or teacher-training qualification with enough precision to determine an individual candidate’s eligibility. Use the detailed official notice for the requirements that applied to each subject.
The reports also do not establish a consistent age reference date. Scroll stated an age range of 18–40 as of 1 January 2026, while other reporting does not confirm that date and conflicting date information appeared in contemporaneous coverage. Reported application fees and process
The Indian Express reported a fee of ₹600 for general candidates and ₹400 for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD and other reserved candidates, plus a ₹500 correction charge. These are reported amounts, not independently verified here against the detailed official notice. The Indian Express.
The reported application process was online through the RPSC and Rajasthan recruitment portals: complete the form, submit the requested details and documents, pay the applicable fee, and retain a printout. That process describes the closed application period; it is not a current way to apply.

For any subsequent exam, result or appointment notice, check the RPSC’s official notices page directly. The portal is the primary official destination, but its page as checked on 8 October 2026 did not establish this recruitment’s latest stage or status. Rajasthan Public Service Commission.
The vacancy total alone cannot show which subject offered the best chance of selection. That comparison would require comparable applicant numbers and cutoff information, which the cited reports do not provide.
