RSSB’s 2025 Village Development Officer (VDO) recruitment is no longer open: applications closed on 25 July 2025, the exam was held on 2 November 2025, and the board has published a merit-order result. The original “last date to apply today” wording referred to an earlier deadline and is now outdated.

What happened to the application deadline?
The original deadline was reported as 18 July 2025. It was extended to 25 July 2025, so the earlier “last date today” headline is historical rather than a current opportunity. Scroll reported the extension on 21 July 2025. Applications for this recruitment are closed.
When was the VDO exam, and is the result out?
The examination was first scheduled for 31 August 2025, then rescheduled and held on 2 November 2025. RSSB’s official examination notice and instructions identify 2 November as the exam date.
