The Tripura Public Service Commission (TPSC) declared the main-examination result for Tripura Civil Service (TCS) Grade-II and Tripura Police Service (TPS) Grade-II under Advertisement No. 05/2022 on June 24, 2024. Candidates shortlisted at that stage were provisionally called for a personality test scheduled to begin August 12, 2024, in Agartala. Both dates are in the past: later reporting says final results were announced in September 2024.
What the June 2024 result covered
The result was for the main examination in TPSC’s recruitment drive under Advertisement No. 05/2022. Scroll reported that the main-result list provisionally shortlisted candidates for interview, also referred to as the personality test. A shortlist was not the same as a final appointment recommendation.
The recruitment covered 40 vacancies: 30 TCS Grade-II and 10 TPS Grade-II, according to Scroll’s June 24, 2024 report.
Personality test schedule announced in 2024
The Commission’s personality tests were scheduled to be held “on and from” August 12, 2024, at the TPSC Secretariat in Agartala. Scroll reported that a detailed programme would be uploaded later. August 12, 2024 is a past schedule, not a current or upcoming interview date.

How the selection stages and marks were reported
Scroll’s 2024 report gave the following marks for the recruitment stages:

These are the stage weights reported for this recruitment in 2024; they are not a newly announced 2026 update. The main-examination result identified provisional candidates for the personality test, while the later recommendation list addressed candidates recommended for appointment.

What happened after the personality-test announcement
An indexed copy of TPSC’s recommendation-list PDF is dated September 12, 2024. It refers to Advertisement No. 05/2022 and says candidates were recommended for appointment in order of merit, giving due weightage to preferences. View the indexed recommendation-list PDF.
Tripura Net separately reported on September 12, 2024 that final TCS and TPS results had been announced, with 30 TCS and 10 TPS selections. That is secondary reporting; the recommendation list is the relevant distinction from the earlier provisional main-result shortlist. Read Tripura Net’s report.

What the 2025 Supreme Court direction means for current status
A Supreme Court judgment dated August 28, 2025 directed that this recruitment process be completed within four months by declaring the main result and conducting personality tests under the applicable TCS/TPS rules. The available reporting and indexed documents cited here do not establish whether, or how, that direction was subsequently implemented. The September 2024 recommendation list and the later court direction should therefore be read as separate developments, not as proof of the recruitment’s present legal status.
