How did the schedule change from the original notice?
SSC’s August 2, 2024, examination notice initially placed Paper-I in the October–November 2024 window. A September 6 schedule notice then specified December 9, 2024, as the Paper-I date. The later, specific date superseded the earlier window.
What happened after Paper-I?
Paper-II was the next written stage. SSC’s March 10, 2025, notice scheduled CHTE 2024 Paper-II for March 29, 2025. That was a later stage of the examination, separate from the December 2024 Paper-I announcement.

Scroll reported on November 30, 2024, that the recruitment drive aimed to fill 312 vacancies. That figure is attributable to Scroll’s report; the cited SSC notices do not establish the number in their extracted text.
