What was Rihanna’s Louis Vuitton campaign?
Fashionista reported on June 26, 2023, that Rihanna appeared in the campaign for Louis Vuitton’s Spring 2024 collection, tied to Pharrell Williams’s first collection for the house. The campaign was first revealed on the façade of Paris’s Musée d’Orsay ahead of Williams’s runway debut. Fashionista’s campaign coverage describes Rihanna wearing a leather jacket with Williams’s take on the Damier check and carrying colorful monogrammed Speedy bags.
Fashionista credited Keizō Kitajima and Martine Syms as photographers and Cynthia Lu and Matthew Henson for styling. These are credits reported by the fashion publication, not a claim of firsthand observation here.
Is Louis Vuitton competing with Rihanna’s Fenty brand?
The available information does not show direct competition. Louis Vuitton’s campaign promoted fashion and leather goods, with the Speedy handbag as its featured product. LVMH’s 2025 Universal Registration Document lists Fenty Beauty by Rihanna among the group’s beauty brands. That establishes a portfolio relationship, but it does not establish that Louis Vuitton and Fenty Beauty compete for the same products or customers.

“Fenty” can mean different businesses, so it is worth being precise. LVMH’s report names Fenty Beauty; Rihanna’s official site also features Savage X Fenty. Neither Fenty Beauty nor Savage X Fenty is the product shown in the Louis Vuitton campaign. The sources do not establish a new Fenty-versus-Louis Vuitton rivalry, or provide sales or market-share evidence for such a claim.
