Qubetics Moves TICS to Ethereum as Solana Targets Faster Finality and Polygon Builds Institutional DeFi

Qubetics reports a TICS migration to Ethereum, Solana has a mix of shipped and planned upgrades, and Polygon’s institutional DeFi efforts center on specific liquidity and payment initiatives. The available sources do not verify a TICS price surge.

Qubetics says its TICS token migrated from the project’s Layer 1 to Ethereum as an ERC-20 token in 2026. Solana has shipped some network changes but still lists its roughly 150-millisecond finality goal as in development. Polygon’s institutional-facing activity includes a liquidity-infrastructure initiative and private stablecoin payments. The available project sources do not establish that TICS “surged”: they provide no dated price move, trading venue, or comparison period.

What changed across Qubetics, Solana, and Polygon?

Project Current development reported Evidence status
Qubetics TICS migrated from the project’s Layer 1 to Ethereum as an ERC-20 token. Project-reported migration; older Layer 1 descriptions are legacy context.
Solana Agave 4.1 and 4.2 have shipped; some capacity changes are live, while slot-time reductions are only partially activated. Solana’s upgrade tracker distinguishes shipped changes from partial rollouts and planned work.
Polygon Examples include Manifold’s institutional liquidity infrastructure work and Hinkal-enabled private stablecoin payments through the Polygon wallet. Named initiatives and integrations, not proof that all Polygon DeFi is institution-ready.

These developments measure different things. Token migration changes where a token is issued or used; Solana’s throughput and finality figures describe network performance; Polygon’s announcements concern specific financial infrastructure and payment use cases. They do not support a like-for-like ranking of the three projects.

What is happening with the Qubetics token migration?

Qubetics’ official blog listing identifies an October 6, 2026 update about the project’s future and a September 13, 2026 token migration guide. It also lists an August 28 post about moving token infrastructure from Cosmos to Ethereum. The latest listing describes TICS as migrated to Ethereum as an ERC-20 token, rather than simply presenting the earlier Layer 1 roadmap as the project’s current state. See the Qubetics official blog for those dated posts.

The project’s banks-and-institutions page still describes a broader Web3 ecosystem, including QubeQode, a dVPN, a wallet, and an IDE, as well as cross-network capabilities. These are Qubetics’ descriptions of its products and plans, not independent verification of their availability, performance, or security. The same page lists a March 24 technical update that addressed community concerns about a delayed CertiK audit related to chain abstraction, dVPN experience, and RPC performance. The page does not establish that those concerns have since been resolved. Qubetics’ project page also states a total supply of 1.36 billion TICS and a proposed fee allocation of 80% to the Community Pool and 20% permanently burned. Those are project-stated tokenomics figures from undated website content; confirm them against current token documentation before relying on them, particularly following the migration.

Does TICS price data show a surge?

Not in the official Qubetics sources cited here. They do not give a price change, market venue, or period that would substantiate the headline word “surges.” A defensible price claim would need a reliable market-data source and a clearly specified interval and comparison basis; without those, the direction and size of any move remain unverified.

What is Solana doing to get faster?

Solana’s upgrade tracker separates shipped releases from partial activations and work still in development. As of the tracker reviewed on October 8, 2026, Agave 4.1 shipped in May and Agave 4.2 shipped in August. The figures below are Solana’s own reported upgrade metrics, not an independent comparative performance test. Check Solana’s upgrade tracker for its current rollout statuses, which can change.

  • Agave 4.1: Solana lists a block limit increase from 60 million to 100 million compute units as live on mainnet.
  • Agave 4.2: Solana lists the maximum transaction size increase from 1,232 bytes to 4,096 bytes as live on mainnet. Reduced slot times are listed as only partially activated.
  • Agave 4.3: Planned for October 2026, this release lists Alpenglow as in development. Its approximately 150-millisecond finality figure, compared with the tracker’s 12.8-second baseline, is a target—not achieved live performance.
  • Agave 4.4: The tracker lists it as expected in November 2026; that is a forward-looking schedule, not a completed release.

Compute units per block, transaction-size limits, slot time, and finality are distinct measures. A larger block limit or transaction-size ceiling does not by itself demonstrate faster finality, and a development target should not be compared as though it were a current network result.

What is Polygon doing for institutional DeFi and payments?

Institutional liquidity infrastructure

In an October 28, 2025 announcement, Polygon described Manifold as building liquidity infrastructure for onchain markets on Polygon. The stated focus is capital efficiency, predictable execution, and risk-aware liquidity design. This is a concrete institutional-oriented initiative, but the announcement describes work being built; it does not establish broad adoption or make every DeFi application on Polygon suitable for institutional use. Polygon’s Manifold announcement also attributes enabling features to Polygon upgrades, which should be treated as claims made in that announcement.

Private stablecoin payments

A May 4, 2026 Polygon Labs post says private stablecoin payments became available through the Polygon wallet via Hinkal, using zero-knowledge proofs. The post frames confidentiality as relevant to banks, treasury teams, and payment providers. It describes a specific integration and payment capability; it is not evidence that all transactions on Polygon are private. See the private-payments announcement for its scope.

Other institutional-facing initiatives

Polygon’s institutional blog listing also records Open Money Stack’s SOC 2 Type 1 examination announcement, Revolut’s EURR stablecoin launch on Polygon, and work with the Bank of England Digital Pound Lab. These examples show a range of institutional-facing infrastructure, integrations, and experimentation, rather than a single measure of adoption or a guarantee of suitability for any particular organization. Polygon’s institutional posts provide the project’s announcements.

How should readers compare these developments?

  • Check what actually changed. For Qubetics, the key reported change is TICS’ move to Ethereum; older descriptions of its own Layer 1 and ecosystem should be read as legacy or project-described capabilities unless current documentation confirms otherwise.
  • Separate shipping from targeting. Solana labels some Agave changes live, slot-time reductions partial, and Alpenglow in development. The 150-millisecond figure is a target, not a measured result.
  • Read institutional claims at the initiative level. Polygon’s cited examples support claims about particular liquidity and payment efforts, not blanket claims about institution-wide adoption or readiness.
  • Demand a defined basis for market claims. A statement that a token surged needs a source, venue, time window, and comparison point; the Qubetics project pages cited above do not supply them.
