Nine stocks posted double-digit gains over the three months covered by an Economic Times report published October 11, 2026, while mutual-fund holdings in each rose between June and September 2026. Divi’s Laboratories led the list with a reported 37% gain. The figures are a dated market snapshot—not evidence that mutual-fund buying caused the gains or a recommendation to buy any stock.
What the September-quarter snapshot reports
Economic Times, citing ACE Equity, identified nine stocks that combined double-digit three-month price gains with higher reported mutual-fund ownership in the September 2026 quarter. Its account said around 68 BSE 500 companies had reported September-quarter shareholding data at the time; mutual-fund stakes had risen at approximately 44 of them. Most of those approximately 44 companies nevertheless had negative returns over the preceding three months, making the nine names exceptions in that reporting subset.

Higher MF ownership does not establish a cause for the price gain
The report presents price performance alongside aggregate mutual-fund holding changes, but it does not provide fund-by-fund buying histories or analysis establishing that the ownership changes drove share prices. Nor does it explain the reasons for individual stocks’ moves. The figures alone therefore cannot show why any stock rose.

Treat the report as a starting point for further checking, not a screening result that answers whether a stock is suitable for you. Before drawing conclusions, an investor would need current prices and filings, plus separate information about business performance, valuation, risks and investment goals. Those assessments are not included in the Economic Times snapshot.
Because the source’s return dates are not specified in its text and market prices and holdings can change, the table should not be read as current performance. The reported increase in aggregate mutual-fund ownership also does not identify which funds changed their positions or how those positions were distributed.
