They do reproduce a list of Ted Gibson, Kim Kimble, Lacy Redway, Chris McMillan, Adir Abergel, Jen Atkin and Chris Appleton, in that order, but provide no comparable net-worth figures or transparent method for ranking them. [MovieCultists]
What the “seven richest” list actually says
MovieCultists reproduces the title “7 Richest Hair Stylists Of Hollywood” and names the stylists in this order:
- Ted Gibson
- Kim Kimble
- Lacy Redway
- Chris McMillan
- Adir Abergel
- Jen Atkin
- Chris Appleton
That order should be treated as the order in the reproduced list, not as a verified ranking by wealth. The page does not provide individual net-worth estimates, explain its calculations, or show evidence that one person has more personal wealth than another. It therefore cannot answer the literal question of who is the richest. [MovieCultists]
Why a reported net-worth range does not settle the question
Fact Retriever attributes a range of $1 million to $2.7 million to a 2021 TheRichest article about “the most expensive hairdressers to the stars in Hollywood.” That is a broad range for a category, not a stated estimate for each of the seven people above. It does not identify a top earner or establish a comparative ranking. The underlying methodology is not established by the secondary attribution, so applying that range to any named stylist would overstate what it shows. [Fact Retriever]

What the public records do show about selected stylists
Business activity can explain why celebrity hairstylists attract attention, but a salon, product line, media career or book is not a disclosure of personal net worth. The available profiles offer examples of commercial work for some names, not comparable financial information for all seven.
Ted Gibson
A U.S. Chamber of Commerce profile describes Gibson’s celebrity work, salon and product-business history. It reported a $2,400 haircut and product distribution in more than 1,000 retail doors at the time the profile was published, approximately five years before October 2026. Those are historical profile details, not current pricing or distribution figures, and they do not establish Gibson’s personal wealth. [U.S. Chamber of Commerce]

That announcement documents planned availability at the time; it does not establish current stock or McMillan’s net worth. [PR Newswire]
Chris Appleton
Forbes’ January 20, 2026 interview identifies Appleton’s book, Your Roots Don’t Define You, and discusses his work. The book is evidence of a publishing project, not proof of a particular income, net worth or place in a wealth ranking. [Forbes]

The other names in the list
The sources reviewed do not establish net worth for Kim Kimble, Lacy Redway, Adir Abergel or Jen Atkin. Nor do they provide a common set of financial disclosures for the other three stylists. Without comparable, attributable figures, assigning precise individual values or reordering the list by wealth would be speculation. [MovieCultists] [Fact Retriever]

A credible ranking would need comparable evidence tied to each person, such as attributable financial disclosures or reliable reporting that explains what it counts and when it was measured. Public visibility and business activity alone are not enough: they do not reveal ownership shares, expenses, liabilities, or how much income belongs personally to a stylist. None of the sources supporting this list provides that kind of side-by-side basis.
