Justin Timberlake’s business ventures have reached across music technology, fashion, restaurants, beverages, golf and commercial partnerships. The clearest documented example is his investment and creative involvement in MySpace’s artist-focused relaunch. The six categories below are an editorial way to organize reported activity, not an official list of businesses he owns today; the available reporting does not establish current ownership or profitability for every venture.
1. He invested in MySpace and helped shape its music focus
Timberlake’s involvement with MySpace is the strongest documented example of a business role combining equity and creative input. When Specific Media acquired the social network in 2011, Timberlake became a part owner. In an October 2012 ABC News report, MySpace CEO Tim Vanderhook said Timberlake invested, held part ownership and helped develop the relaunch.

The relaunch aimed to connect artists with fans, rather than simply compete as a general-purpose social network. COO Chris Vanderhook described the ambition to ABC News this way: “We think we built a great social network for artists.”
A March 2013 Fast Company feature reported that Timberlake had no conventional operating title or office, but contributed to the music-portal strategy and recruited music and creative talent. That makes his role best understood as investment and strategic or creative involvement—not day-to-day management.

2. He entered fashion through William Rast and Levi’s
A 2013 Independent interview described Timberlake’s business portfolio as extending beyond entertainment. A secondary biography reports that he and Juan “Trace” Ayala launched the fashion label William Rast in 2005, and that Timberlake and Levi’s introduced the Fresh Leaves collection in 2018.
These are historical fashion ventures. The reporting cited here does not establish whether William Rast or Fresh Leaves products remain available, or whether Timberlake retains an ownership interest in either.

3. He was associated with restaurant ventures
The same 2013 Independent interview refers to two restaurants in Timberlake’s portfolio. A secondary biography names Chi, Destino and Southern Hospitality, but it credits Wikipedia and those venue details are not independently verified in the reporting available here. Treat the names as historical reports, not evidence that Timberlake currently owns or operates those restaurants.
4. He pursued beverage partnerships and investment
A secondary biography reports a partnership connected with Sauza 901 tequila and an investment in Bai beverages. Those reported relationships illustrate two different business approaches—promoting or collaborating on a product and investing in a company—but the available reporting does not confirm present ownership, current product availability or financial results.

5. He was linked to golf and sports projects
The secondary biography also reports Timberlake’s involvement in the redevelopment of Mirimichi golf course, a later investment in Greenville’s 3’s golf course and a stake in the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour. These claims are less strongly supported than the MySpace reporting and are not independently confirmed by the contemporaneous sources cited above. They should be read as reported historical involvement, not as a verified account of current holdings.

Commercial partnerships and endorsements can generate business income, but an endorsement does not make the celebrity an owner of the brand. The secondary biography lists historical product endorsements and reports a sale of music-catalog rights. Because the underlying support is limited, no financial amount or business outcome can be established here; the catalog report should not be treated as independently verified proof of a particular return.

What the six categories do—and do not—show
Together, these examples show how a performer’s business activity can take different forms: ownership, investment, creative contribution, partnership, endorsement or reported asset sale. They are not interchangeable. In particular, historical involvement does not demonstrate that Timberlake still owns a venture, that a product is still sold, or that any project made a profit.
The available sources provide no reliable performance statistics for these ventures, so they do not support ranking them by return or calling them successful on financial grounds. MySpace stands out instead because contemporaneous reporting specifically describes both an ownership stake and a role in shaping the relaunch.
