4 Under-the-Radar Crypto Projects Named in a $100-to-$100,000 Article: What’s Verified

TechYorker named AGIX, OCEAN, ARPA, and NYM as under-the-radar picks. The $100-to-$100,000 outcome and the article’s market claims are not established by the available evidence.

A $100 investment becoming $100,000 would require a 1,000-fold increase in value. The TechYorker article published April 28, 2026, names SingularityNET (AGIX), Ocean Protocol (OCEAN), ARPA Chain (ARPA), and Nym (NYM), but the available evidence does not substantiate that outcome—or the article’s price targets and other numerical claims. Treat these as projects to investigate, not verified picks or a forecast.

What does “turn $100 into $100,000” actually mean?

It means an investment would have to grow to 1,000 times its starting value: $100 would need to become $100,000, a $99,900 gain before fees, taxes, or any other costs. That arithmetic describes the scale of the headline’s promise; it does not show that any token can achieve it.

The TechYorker article gives price targets, staking and liquidity estimates, activity counts, and allocation rules. Those figures are claims made by that article, not independently established statistics or tested forecasts in the available evidence. Without dated, reproducible data and a disclosed method, they are not a sound basis for estimating returns.

Which four projects does the article name, and what is established?

The table separates what the cited official project material describes from what remains unverified. Project descriptions can help explain a network or token’s intended role; they do not establish adoption, token value, or investment performance.

Asset named in the article What the cited material establishes What remains unresolved
SingularityNET (AGIX) An official SingularityNET post dated April 3, 2024 described a proposed tokenomic merger involving AGIX, FET, and OCEAN into an ASI token. The cited announcement does not establish whether the merger was completed or provide current holder instructions. Current token status and any conversion process are unverified here.
Ocean Protocol (OCEAN) OCEAN was also named in the same April 3, 2024 merger proposal. The cited announcement does not establish current implementation or holder steps. Current token status and any conversion process are unverified here.
ARPA Chain (ARPA) It is one of the four assets selected by the TechYorker article. The available material does not establish current primary-source evidence for the article’s specific activity, liquidity, emissions, or price claims.
Nym (NYM) Nym’s official pages describe NymVPN and its mixnet, and refer to a NYM utility-token prospectus. Those descriptions and disclosures do not independently verify adoption metrics, token value, or likely returns.

What should you check before considering any of them?

  • Current token status: Check the project’s current official announcements and documentation, especially for AGIX and OCEAN. A 2024 proposal is not proof of present implementation, and it is not enough to guide a conversion. Do not act on old or unofficial conversion instructions.
  • Token utility and demand: Identify what the token is used for, who operates the relevant product or network, and whether there is dated evidence of real use. A project’s stated purpose does not show that token holders capture economic value.
  • Supply and emissions: Find current, dated information on circulating and total supply, unlocks, and issuance. A low unit price alone says little about valuation; supply and demand matter too.
  • Liquidity and trading access: Verify current trading venues and order-book depth from reliable, dated sources. A quoted price does not guarantee that you can buy or sell a small, thinly traded asset at that price, especially after fees or during volatility.
  • Security and custody: Understand how you would hold the asset and what happens if you lose access to the relevant keys. A SEC-filed digital-asset disclosure warns that loss, theft, destruction, or compromise of private keys can result in permanent asset loss.
  • Evidence quality: Prefer primary documentation and dated, reproducible usage or market data. Separate what a project says it intends to do from what independent evidence shows is operating.

How do market risk and custody risk differ?

Market risk is the possibility that a token’s value falls, potentially to a level at which you lose most or all of your investment. Custody risk is the possibility that you cannot access or recover the asset—for example, after private keys are lost or compromised. These are separate risks: secure key management cannot prevent a price decline, and a rising market price cannot restore access to lost keys.

A hardware wallet is one optional way to manage private keys, not protection against investment losses. For a $100 position, the device’s cost may be disproportionate. Whatever method you use, understand how backups and recovery work before transferring assets.

What can you conclude about legal status?

Do not assume that any of these four tokens has a definitive U.S. legal classification based on the cited material. The SEC’s April 22, 2026 page, “Transactions Involving Crypto Assets,” states: “The SEC regulates the offer and sale of all securities, including crypto assets if they are securities.” The SEC staff FAQ updated September 28, 2026 says its answers express staff views, are not a rule or regulation, and have no legal force or effect. The treatment of a particular asset or transaction can depend on its facts and circumstances; legal questions may also vary by jurisdiction.

Are these the “best” under-the-radar crypto investments?

The available evidence does not establish that they are the best investments, rank them by upside, or support a common current comparison of price, liquidity, supply, or adoption. They are the four names in the TechYorker article, not independently validated recommendations. A reader deciding whether to investigate them should first resolve each project’s current token status and seek comparable, dated evidence on use, liquidity, supply, security, and risk.

If losing the full $100 would affect essential expenses or near-term plans, that money is not suitable for a highly speculative token position. Do not rely on a headline, a projected target, or a staking estimate as a substitute for verifying the asset and understanding the possibility of loss.
