The 2026 Porsche 911 Turbo S is a 400-volt T-Hybrid performance flagship offered as a Coupe or Cabriolet. Porsche announced it on September 7, 2025. Its 3.6-liter boxer engine works with two electric turbochargers, a compact 1.9-kWh battery and an electric motor integrated into the eight-speed PDK transmission. Porsche quotes 701 hp for the U.S. model and claims a 0–60 mph time of 2.4 seconds with Launch Control; European materials use different units and report 711 PS and 0–100 km/h in 2.5 seconds.

What’s new about the 2026 Porsche 911 Turbo S?

The headline change is the Turbo S’s new T-Hybrid powertrain, which pairs a 3.6-liter six-cylinder boxer engine with electric assistance and two electrically assisted turbochargers. Porsche also says the new car is quicker around the Nürburgring than its predecessor and comes with electrohydraulic roll stabilization as standard equipment. The model is available as a Coupe and Cabriolet. Porsche Cars North America’s announcement and its European press kit describe the launch and specification.

Is the 2026 911 Turbo S a hybrid?

Yes. Porsche calls the system T-Hybrid and describes it as a 400-volt performance hybrid. The published specifications do not establish an electric-only range or plug-in charging capability, so it should not be treated as a plug-in hybrid on the basis of these figures.

How the T-Hybrid system works

  • A 3.6-liter six-cylinder boxer engine provides the combustion power.
  • Two electric exhaust turbochargers, or eTurbos, use electric motors to help the turbochargers respond more quickly, according to Porsche.
  • A compact 1.9-kWh high-voltage battery supplies the hybrid system.
  • An electric motor integrated into the eight-speed PDK dual-clutch transmission contributes propulsion and torque.

Porsche’s EU/Germany technical data lists maximum electric-motor output of 60 kW and maximum motor torque of 188 Nm. Those are motor figures, not the car’s total system output.

How much horsepower does the new Turbo S have?

The answer depends on the market’s unit convention. Porsche Cars North America quotes 701 hp (523 kW) and 590 lb-ft of maximum torque for the U.S. car. Porsche’s EU/Germany technical sheet quotes 711 PS (also 523 kW) and 800 Nm. PS and U.S. mechanical horsepower are different units; the different headline numbers do not indicate different power in kilowatts. Porsche also cautions that technical data may vary by country. See the U.S. announcement and EU/Germany technical sheet for their respective market figures.

How fast is the 2026 Porsche 911 Turbo S?

These are Porsche-published figures, not independent instrumented test results. Keep the U.S. and European measures together with their market and units:

Measure U.S. figure EU/Germany figure
Acceleration 0–60 mph in 2.4 seconds with Launch Control, per Porsche Cars North America 0–100 km/h in 2.5 seconds, per Porsche AG
Higher-speed acceleration 8.4 seconds to approximately 124 mph, per Porsche Cars North America 0–200 km/h in 8.4 seconds, per Porsche AG
Maximum speed 200 mph top track speed, per Porsche Cars North America 322 km/h, per Porsche AG

The figures use different market presentations and, for acceleration, different start and finish speeds. They should not be read as a direct test comparison. Sources: Porsche Cars North America and Porsche AG.

What Porsche’s Nürburgring time means

Porsche reports a 7:03.92-minute lap of the Nürburgring Nordschleife, about 14 seconds quicker than the predecessor. The company says the lap was recorded during final development drives in fall 2024 by a lightly camouflaged car under notarial supervision. It is a manufacturer-reported development result, not an independent comparison test. Porsche’s U.S. announcement and European press kit provide the claim and context.

Is the 911 Turbo S available as a convertible?

Yes. Porsche offers the 2026 Turbo S as both a Coupe and a Cabriolet. The choice is principally between a fixed-roof body and an open-top format; the available sources do not provide roof-operation details or cargo-space comparisons. Porsche’s EU performance page lists a power-to-weight ratio of 2.43 kg/PS for the Coupe and 2.55 kg/PS for the Cabriolet, but that is a European-market metric rather than a U.S. weight comparison. Porsche’s European press kit contains the body-style specifications.

What chassis and efficiency details has Porsche published?

Porsche says electrohydraulic Porsche Dynamic Chassis Control (PDCC), its roll-stabilization system, is standard. The company frames its chassis development around agility, stability, comfort and driveability; these are manufacturer descriptions, not independent road-test findings.

Porsche Cars North America lists U.S. curb weight at 3,829 lb, 180 lb more than the predecessor. Porsche’s EU press kit gives WLTP combined fuel-consumption ranges of 11.7–11.5 l/100 km for the Coupe and 11.8–11.6 l/100 km for the Cabriolet. These are EU WLTP figures, not U.S. EPA estimates, and should not be used as a direct market-to-market comparison. Sources: U.S. announcement and EU press kit.

What is known about price and availability?

The available specifications do not establish a current U.S. MSRP, order status, dealer allocation or delivery schedule. Buyers should confirm price and availability directly with Porsche or a local dealer rather than relying on an unverified figure.
