The 2025 Ford Mustang lineup has nine coupe and convertible configurations, from the EcoBoost Fastback to the 500-hp Dark Horse. Ford’s US page displays starting MSRPs from $31,920, but those figures are not live quotes or out-the-door prices. Here’s how the trims, engines, performance equipment and official photos compare—and where to check a specific car’s current price.
2025 Mustang trims and displayed starting prices
Ford lists nine 2025 Mustang configurations. Its technical sheet calls the coupe a “Fastback coupe”; Dark Horse models are fastbacks, while EcoBoost and GT families include convertible options.
| Configuration | Displayed starting MSRP | Body style |
|---|---|---|
| EcoBoost | $31,920 is Ford’s displayed EcoBoost-family entry point; a separate trim-specific figure is not stated on the cited page. | Fastback or convertible |
| EcoBoost Premium | Not stated for the fastback on the cited page. | Fastback or convertible |
| GT | $46,560 for GT Fastback. | Fastback |
| GT Premium | $56,580 for GT Premium Convertible; a fastback figure is not stated on the cited page. | Fastback or convertible |

| Dark Horse Premium | $69,375. | Fastback |
Ford’s US consumer page, captured October 7, 2026, also displays $40,120 for EcoBoost Convertible and $43,045 for EcoBoost Premium Convertible. The figures above are Ford-listed starting MSRP examples, not dealer transaction prices or guaranteed available vehicles at those amounts. Options, equipment groups, dealer pricing, destination, taxes, fees, incentives and geographic availability can affect the actual price. Ford directs shoppers to its Mustang page and Build & Price for configured pricing.
Which engines and transmissions are available?
Ford’s 2025 technical specifications describe three rear-wheel-drive engine families, with a limited-slip differential as the standard drivetrain architecture. Output varies by engine and, for the GT, exhaust configuration.

| EcoBoost | 2.3-liter turbocharged inline-four: 315 hp at 5,500 rpm and 350 lb-ft at 3,000 rpm. | 10-speed automatic is standard. Ford’s technical sheet does not list a manual for EcoBoost. |
| GT | 5.0-liter naturally aspirated V8: 480 hp at 7,150 rpm and 415 lb-ft at 4,900 rpm; with active valve exhaust, 486 hp at 7,250 rpm and 418 lb-ft at 4,900 rpm. | Getrag six-speed manual or optional 10-speed automatic. |

Ford identifies Dark Horse as the highest-horsepower 2025 Mustang. Its consumer page describes the model’s modified Gen-4 5.0-liter Coyote V8 as producing 500 hp and 418 lb-ft.
What distinguishes GT and Dark Horse performance equipment?
A GT can be equipped with an optional Performance Package; availability depends on the selected configuration. Dark Horse includes MagneRide damping, and Ford highlights a TREMEC six-speed manual, 3.73 TORSEN limited-slip rear axle and Brembo brakes. RECARO seats are available, not universal standard equipment. Consult Ford’s 2025 Mustang Order Guide for package and equipment-group applicability rather than assuming a feature comes on every car bearing a trim name.

What is the most fuel-efficient 2025 Mustang?
Ford’s consumer page gives an EPA estimate of 22 mpg city, 33 highway and 26 combined for the EcoBoost coupe with the standard 2.3-liter engine and 10-speed automatic. That is a figure for this specified configuration, not a complete comparison of every trim, body style or transmission.
Where to see official photos and colors
Ford’s 2025 Mustang page includes exterior and interior imagery, a 360-degree viewer with trim selection, and color choices. Listed paints include Shadow Black, Iconic Silver Metallic, Carbonized Gray Metallic, Vapor Blue Metallic, Grabber Blue Metallic, Molten Magenta Metallic Tri-coat, Race Red, Oxford White and Intense Lime Yellow Metallic. Ford marks some colors as extra-cost options, and availability can depend on package and production timing. Ford cautions that “Images may vary from production model.” Use the viewer to explore the car, then check actual inventory photos for the specific vehicle you are considering.
