Three Western Australian tickets were among eight Division One winners in the $20 million Saturday Lotto Superdraw reported on 25 March 2023. PerthNow reported that each winning ticket was worth $2.5 million; the three WA tickets did not split the entire $20 million prize pool.
How many winning tickets were from WA?
PerthNow’s 25 March 2023 report said three WA tickets won Division One, alongside five other winning tickets elsewhere in Australia. That is eight national Division One tickets in total—not three tickets sharing the whole advertised $20 million Superdraw.
How much did each winning ticket receive?
PerthNow reported a Division One prize of $2.5 million per ticket. On that account, each of the three WA winning tickets was worth $2.5 million. The story’s figures are reported results; a separate official draw record was not available to confirm them.
Where were the WA tickets bought?
- One winning ticket was sold at Riverton Forum Lottery Kiosk.
- Two winning tickets were purchased online.
What Lotterywest said about the draw
PerthNow attributed two wider community figures to Lotterywest spokesperson James Mooney. He said the three new WA winners brought the state’s 2023 winning tally to 24 at that point, with more than half of those wins coming from Saturday Lotto. He also said an estimated $3.3 million had been raised for the WA community through Lotterywest grants as a result of players entering the Superdraw. Both figures are statements reported in the 2023 article, not independently verified draw statistics.
