This is a curated list, not an official ranking: some entries are one-off feats, while others are flights collected in a Red Bull roundup or a recurring event format. The reported details below come from Red Bull and its media properties, so they describe the company’s accounts rather than independent verification of records or audience impact.
High-altitude spectacle and public participation
1. Red Bull Stratos: Baumgartner’s stratospheric jump
On October 14, 2012, Felix Baumgartner jumped from a balloon-borne capsule over New Mexico in a project that combined a high-altitude skydive with a record attempt. Red Bull’s 2022 retrospective reports a jump altitude of 38,969.4 metres and a maximum speed of 1,357.6 kph. The familiar phrase “from space” is shorthand: the reported jump began in the stratosphere, not outer space. Red Bull’s Stratos retrospective includes accounts from the project team. Its medical director, Dr. Jonathan Clark, explained one hazard of the descent: “Half the blood goes to the feet, the other half to the head. The heart gets too little blood, and you become faint.”

2. Red Bull Flugtag: homemade flying machines off a six-metre deck
Flugtag turns a launch ramp into a public spectacle: teams build human-powered flying machines, then send them off a six-metre deck. Red Bull says the event began in Vienna in 1992. Its 2019 account says entrants are judged on flight distance, craft creativity and showmanship, so a short flight can still be memorable if the machine and performance deliver. Red Bull’s Flugtag history describes the format and its origins.
3. The Long Beach Flugtag chicken flight
At the 2013 Long Beach Flugtag, the Chicken Whisperers’ craft was piloted by a hen. Red Bull’s retrospective reports that it flew 78.5 metres. It is a particularly oddball example of Flugtag’s premise: the entries need not be conventional aircraft, and the spectacle is as much about the idea as the distance. Red Bull’s Flugtag history recounts the flight.

Wingsuit flights through landmarks and landscapes
4. Through London’s Tower Bridge
On May 12, 2024, Marco Fürst and Marco Waltenspiel flew wingsuits through Tower Bridge. Red Bull reports a 1,200-metre flight lasting 45 seconds, speeds up to 246 kph, and a landing on barges in the Thames. The combination of a recognisable urban landmark and a narrowly defined flight path makes this one of the clearest examples of a stunt built around a specific location. Red Bull’s wingsuit-flight roundup gives the company’s account.
5. Through the pyramids at Giza
Red Bull’s roundup lists a wingsuit flight through the ancient pyramids at Giza. The available description does not establish a date, pilot or measured flight details, so the striking fact is the setting itself: a high-speed flight staged among one of the world’s most recognisable archaeological landscapes. Red Bull’s roundup includes the flight.
6. Into and out of Villarrica volcano
The same roundup describes a wingsuit flight into and out of the crater of Villarrica in Chile. That concise description is enough to convey the unusual route without adding unsupported claims about the volcano’s conditions, the flight’s risk or its measurements. Red Bull’s roundup lists the flight.
7. Over Lebanon’s Cedars Forest and Qadisha Valley
Red Bull lists a wingsuit flight over peaks in Lebanon’s Cedars Forest and Qadisha Valley. Rather than a city landmark or engineered obstacle, this entry uses the mountain landscape as its visual frame. The roundup does not provide further specifics in its description. Red Bull’s roundup includes it.
Rank #2
- The original energy drink that gives you wiiings, Red Bull features taurine, an amino acid, plus four essential B-group vitamins B3, B6, B12 and B5, which contribute to normal energy-yielding metabolism
- Each 12 fl oz can contains 160 calories, 114mg of caffeine which helps to increase alertness, plus 38g of real sugar similar to a glass of apple juice of the same size

8. A long hike before a one-minute descent at Goksøyra
Red Bull’s headline describes a three-hour hike followed by a one-minute descent at Goksøyra, Norway. That contrast is the hook: a substantial approach for a very brief flight. The duration is the roundup’s description, not an independently measured time. Red Bull’s roundup features the descent.
9. Through Schattenbach gorge
Another flight in the roundup passes through Schattenbach gorge in Walenstadt, Switzerland. Red Bull describes it as a narrow wingsuit route through the gorge; the location’s confined geometry, rather than a stated record or speed, is the notable detail. Red Bull’s roundup lists the run.
10. At a James Bond filming location in Obergurgl
Red Bull also lists a wingsuit flight at an iconic James Bond location in Obergurgl, Austria. The source description does not name the film or specify the exact location, so neither should be inferred. The connection to a famous screen setting is the supported point. Red Bull’s roundup includes the flight.
11. A 64-second descent over Lake Garda
One entry is a 64-second wingsuit descent from Monte Altissimo over Lake Garda in Italy. Red Bull’s roundup supplies that duration and route, but no further flight metrics are needed to appreciate the long visual sweep from mountain to lake. Red Bull’s roundup describes it.

12. Above the clouds in Florida
The roundup includes a wingsuit flight through thick clouds above Florida. No date or record claim is established in the description. The spectacle here is the changing visibility and cloudscape, rather than a named landmark. Red Bull’s roundup features the flight.

13. Red Bull Barnstorming: formation flight through a barn
Pilots Paul Bonhomme and Steve Jones flew a formation through a barn at a reported 300 kph. Red Bull describes it as a world-first formation flight through a building; that first-of-its-kind characterization is the company’s claim, not independent verification. The stunt’s appeal lies in the precise passage of two aircraft through a structure built for neither flight nor speed. Red Bull’s Barnstorming video page gives the company’s description.
14. An FPV drone chasing an F1 car around Silverstone
In 2024, Red Bull profiled a custom first-person-view filming drone made by the Dutch Drone Gods team to follow the Oracle Red Bull Racing car for a full lap at Silverstone. Builder Ralph Hogenbirk said Red Bull had approached him with the idea about a year earlier. Red Bull framed the aircraft as the “world’s fastest” FPV drone, but that wording is the article’s characterization, not an independently verified record. The project makes the camera itself part of the spectacle: the drone had to keep up with an F1 car while capturing the lap. Red Bull’s drone project feature recounts the build.
15. The Volare Duet: aerobatics meet cliff diving
In a 2022 gallery, Red Bull described Italian aerobatic pilot Dario Costa joining Red Bull Cliff Diving athletes for an aerobatics-and-synchronized-diving display in Polignano a Mare. The pairing brings an aircraft performance together with athletes diving from the cliffs; the source does not establish a particular record or precise maneuver. Red Bull’s Volare Duet gallery documents the display.

These examples are not comparable on one objective scale. Stratos was a highly engineered project with a stated altitude and speed; Flugtag is a recurring format that invites teams to create and perform; several wingsuit entries are individual location-based flights; and the drone project puts camera engineering alongside racing. Red Bull’s own accounts are valuable for the event details, but they do not establish independent audience response, commercial impact or sales growth.
