There is no reliable, current ranking of snooker players by personal net worth. A more verifiable comparison is career tournament prize money: in SnookerWins’ database, accessed in 2026, Ronnie O’Sullivan leads the displayed top ten with £30,321,434. Those figures measure recorded professional snooker prize money—not wealth—and the database values and methodology should be checked for updates.
Why this is a prize-money ranking, not a richest-players list
Personal net worth is the value of someone’s assets minus liabilities. Tournament winnings alone cannot establish it: they do not account for taxes, career expenses, investments, property, sponsorships, media work, business income, or debts. No authoritative register of snooker players’ current net worth is established by the available sources.
Online net-worth countdowns should therefore be treated as estimates, not verified financial disclosures. For example, Break Masters’ 2025 countdown assigns fortunes to ten players but does not provide a sufficiently transparent basis for validating those amounts. Its result text also gives inconsistent Ronnie O’Sullivan figures, mentioning both £11.2 million and a later £20 million. That is not a sound basis for ranking personal wealth.
The table below answers a narrower question: which players appear highest in SnookerWins’ professional snooker career prize-money database? The figures are in pounds, were accessed in 2026, and are not independently audited total income or net worth.

What the leader’s record does—and does not—show
O’Sullivan’s first place in this prize-money database is consistent with an exceptional competitive record, but sporting achievement is not a financial statement. The WPBSA profile credits him with seven World Championship titles and 23 Triple Crown titles; its ranking-winners record lists 41 ranking-event victories on the source’s 2026 page. These records help explain his standing in the sport, but do not verify his net worth.

Why other rankings can have a different order
“Richest,” career prize money, number of titles, and modeled playing performance are distinct measures. A ranking based on match results and opponent quality is not a financial ranking. An academic match-network model, for example, places John Higgins first and O’Sullivan second among historical players. It measures modeled performance, not income or wealth.
Even prize-money records depend on scope and date. A season money list is not comparable to a career total: Snooker.org’s 1993/94 list records Stephen Hendry at £421,165, Alan McManus at £277,250, Steve Davis at £244,485, Jimmy White at £201,125, and O’Sullivan at £180,980 for that season. Those are season earnings in pounds, not lifetime wealth.

How to read a snooker wealth estimate
Before accepting a “richest player” figure, check whether the source identifies its publisher and date, explains how it calculated the estimate, and says what income and assets it includes. In particular, look for whether it distinguishes prize money from sponsorships, media and business income, and whether the figure is a range or a point estimate. Without a consistent method applied to every player, a ranked net-worth list can look precise without being comparable or verifiable.
