Alongside lead investor Y Combinator’s Continuity fund, Moneycontrol reported participation from Glade Brook, Nexus Venture Partners, Breyer Capital, Lachy Groom, Global Founders Capital, and Contrary Capital. The report described the group as including new and existing investors. Moneycontrol’s report also said senior executives at Instacart and DoorDash invested personally; that detail is secondary reporting, rather than a company announcement.
What did Zepto do?
Zepto is an Indian grocery-delivery business. Y Combinator’s company profile describes its model as delivering groceries in 10 minutes through micro-warehouses, also called dark stores, located across Indian cities. How does the 2021 funding fit into Zepto’s later financing?
TechCrunch reported in November 2024 that Zepto raised a further $350 million at a $5 billion valuation. That is a later reported financing, not a current valuation or a direct measure of what the company is worth today. TechCrunch’s November 2024 report gives those terms.
Zepto’s investor-relations landing page now describes a broader platform that includes groceries, electronics, apparel, and everyday essentials. The page does not, by itself, establish a complete operating or financial snapshot as of October 2026. Zepto’s investor-relations page lists those product categories.

What the funding announcement does—and does not—tell you
The $100 million figure is the amount Zepto announced raising in December 2021; the $570 million figure is the valuation reported in connection with that round.
