YouTube’s search ranking algorithm favors pre-recorded uploads because they have permanent metadata (titles, descriptions, timestamps) and can be edited after publication. A live stream, once broadcast, cannot be edited—the VOD is locked as-is. This makes uploaded videos more SEO-friendly and more likely to rank for specific keyword phrases.
