If you subscribed to Disney+ before September 23, 2026, Disney says your price will change in a billing cycle on or after October 21, 2026. Your exact charge date depends on your billing cycle and whether you pay Disney directly or through a third party. The new listed US standalone rates are $12.49 a month for Disney+ with ads and $21.49 a month for Premium without ads; Premium is also listed at $214.99 a year.
When does the new Disney+ price start?
Disney+ Help Center’s US pricing page, dated September 23, 2026, says subscribers who signed up before that date will see the price change “in your billing cycle on or after October 21, 2026.” That is the announced start window, not a universal charge date: your renewal date and billing channel determine when the new amount appears. Third-party billing prices may vary. Check the price and renewal date shown in your account before assuming the listed price is your next charge. How to check what you will actually pay
- In a browser, go to DisneyPlus.com and sign in.
- Open Profile → Account → Your Plans & Billing.
- Select the subscription details to review your plan, current price, renewal date, and billing route. If you are billed by a third party, the account may direct you to that provider for plan information or changes.

How to lower your bill without an unwanted surprise
Compare the service mix, not just the headline price
Start with what your household watches and the total you would otherwise pay for those services. A bundle may not reduce your bill if you would not subscribe to every included service, and availability can depend on billing route. Check whether ads are acceptable, whether downloads matter, and whether your devices and connection support the audio or video features you use.

Review the consequences before switching
On DisneyPlus.com, go to Profile → Account → Your Plans & Billing → subscription → Change. Options can vary, and a third-party billed customer may be redirected to the billing partner. Disney says an upgrade takes effect immediately and incurs a prorated first charge; a downgrade generally begins on the next billing date. Changing monthly or annual billing for the same plan also takes effect on the next billing date. Changing plans can end a promotion or price hold, so review the final price and effective date before confirming. See Disney’s plan-change instructions.
Consider annual billing only if it fits your plans
Disney lists Premium at $214.99 per year as well as $21.49 per month. Compare the annual payment with the monthly cost over the period you expect to keep the service, and account for the larger upfront charge and your ability to cancel or change plans. Do not assume an annual option is available through a third-party billing provider.

How to cancel Disney+
Disney says you can cancel at any time, with cancellation taking effect at the end of the billing period. If a third party bills you, follow that provider’s cancellation process rather than assuming cancellation in Disney account settings will stop the charge.
