Did Xiaomi really triple SU7 production?
Not on the evidence in the cited reports. Xiaomi disclosed delivery totals and factory operating changes, but no comparable production-output series showing that SU7 output tripled. Production, orders, deliveries and a future target are different measures; treating them as interchangeable makes the headline claim stronger than the data supports.
The figures below preserve those distinctions. Xiaomi’s company reports provide the delivery and operating details; The Associated Press reported the launch-order figure as a Xiaomi statement.

How many SU7 cars did Xiaomi deliver?
Launch-period deliveries and the 2024 goal
Xiaomi reported 27,367 SU7 Series deliveries in the first half of 2024. Its interim report set a full-year delivery target of 120,000, a goal that was later exceeded according to the company’s annual report.

Full-year 2024 result
The annual report recorded 136,854 SU7 Series deliveries in 2024. That is the appropriate full-year actual to compare with the 2025 target, while keeping in mind that the target covers Xiaomi vehicle deliveries and is not described as SU7-only.
What factory changes did Xiaomi make?
Xiaomi said double-shift operations began in June 2024. It also reported production-line optimization and maintenance in July. These are documented steps in the ramp, but neither fact on its own quantifies how much production increased.

The interim report described the approach as “launch upon release, deliver upon launch, and ramp up production upon delivery.” The wording is from the company report, not a named executive. Early interest was substantial: Xiaomi said the SU7 received 50,000 orders in the first 27 minutes after sales opened in March 2024, as reported by AP. That is a launch-demand signal, not a count of vehicles produced or handed over.
What does the 350,000 figure mean?
It is Xiaomi’s stated 2025 delivery target across its vehicles, announced in its 2024 annual report. It is not an achieved result and is not a production figure. Compared with the 136,854 SU7 Series vehicles delivered in 2024, 350,000 is roughly 2.56 times as large, but that comparison spans different scopes: the 2024 figure is SU7 Series deliveries, while the 2025 target is for Xiaomi vehicles overall.

What do Xiaomi’s newer delivery figures show?
In its first-half 2026 interim report, Xiaomi reported 185,055 deliveries across its vehicles, up 17.7% year over year. That total is not SU7-only. Separately, Xiaomi said the SU7 Series ranked first among pure-electric sedans priced above RMB 200,000 in mainland China. The report also described a 20% year-over-year decline in the mainland China passenger-vehicle retail market for that period. These are company-reported figures and a company-reported ranking tied to that geography, period and price segment; they do not supply a historical SU7 production series.
