Xiaohangjia Brokers Review: Scam or Legit Broker?

IOSCO’s index associates Xiaohangjia Futures Limited / Xiaohangjia Brokers with an SFC alert entry, and secondary sources raise further concerns. Treat the broker as high risk and verify the exact entity and authorization with the relevant regulator before depositing; the available evidence does not itself prove criminal fraud.

Verdict: Treat Xiaohangjia Futures Limited / Xiaohangjia Brokers as high risk and do not deposit until you independently verify the exact legal entity and its authorization for the services offered. IOSCO’s I-SCAN index associates those names with a Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission (SFC) alert entry dated 2018-06-04, but the available evidence does not establish a criminal finding of fraud.

A warning-context signal and an inability to establish authorization are serious reasons for caution, not proof that a crime occurred. Check the relevant regulator’s own register for your jurisdiction, the exact entity, and the specific service before sending money or identity documents.

What can be verified about Xiaohangjia Brokers?

IOSCO’s I-SCAN index associates “Xiaohangjia Futures Limited / Xiaohangjia Brokers” with an SFC entry displayed with a listing date of 2018-06-04. IOSCO explains that alerts are voluntarily supplied by its members and that the index is not a complete list of every alert. Treat this as warning-context information, not as a complete licensing search or a finding of criminal fraud.

BrokerChooser’s safety assessment, updated 2026-04-28, says its publicly available regulatory information did not show regulation by a top-tier authority and recommends against trusting the broker. That is BrokerChooser’s assessment, not an official regulator determination.

A 55Brokers report updated 2023-03-31 says the SFC warned about Xiaohangjia and challenged its claimed Hong Kong address. The original SFC warning page could not be retrieved for this research, so the address concern should be understood as a secondary report, not as independently checked SFC wording.

These sources support a serious caution, but they do not by themselves prove that the operator committed a crime. Regulatory status and warning entries can change, so recheck the live regulator records before publication or any decision to invest.

Is Xiaohangjia Brokers regulated?

The available research does not establish that Xiaohangjia has authorization for the services it offers. BrokerChooser reports that it did not find top-tier regulation in its publicly available information; this is not a universal search of every regulator or a definitive ruling about every service or jurisdiction.

Before considering a deposit, use the regulator responsible for your location and the product being offered. Check the exact legal entity and the specific permitted service in the regulator’s official register. A license in one country does not by itself establish permission to solicit clients in another.

The Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) advises: “Verify the registration status and disciplinary history of the person or firm selling a product or strategy before researching the risks or potential returns of the trade itself.” For U.S. derivatives businesses, its guidance directs readers to NFA BASIC. The Japan Financial Services Agency (FSA) provides a search for financial businesses licensed, permitted, or registered by the agency, as well as warnings about unregistered overseas operators. Use the regulator relevant to your jurisdiction and product.

Why authorization checks matter

Registration or authorization does not guarantee profitable trades or eliminate risk. Checking official records helps you establish which legal entity is responsible, what services it may provide, and what complaint or client-protection arrangements may apply in the relevant jurisdiction.

When dealing with an unregistered offshore firm, protections may be fewer, as the CFTC cautions. Do not assume that a company registration, a certificate displayed on a website, a regulator name, or a similar name in a register proves that the firm is authorized to provide the service to you.

Red flags to check

Warning sign Why it matters
Guaranteed returns or “risk-free” trading Claims about returns do not establish authorization or make an investment safe.
Pressure to deposit immediately Urgency can discourage independent checks and second opinions.
Payment to an unrelated person or company The recipient may not match the legal entity responsible for the account.
Withdrawals blocked until an extra fee or tax is paid Do not send more money solely to unlock a withdrawal; verify the demand independently.
No verifiable legal entity or authorization for the offered service You may be unable to establish who is responsible or which regulator can handle a complaint.
Requests to install remote-access software Remote access can expose banking, email, and other accounts.
Profits shown only in an online dashboard A displayed balance does not prove that funds exist or can be withdrawn.

How to check whether a broker is regulated

  1. Find the legal entity. Check the client agreement and other legal documents for the full company name; do not rely on the brand name alone.
  2. Identify the claimed regulator and service. Look for the named authority and the specific activities the firm says it is allowed to provide.
  3. Search the regulator’s official register. For U.S. derivatives businesses, the CFTC points readers to NFA BASIC. In Japan, the FSA provides a search for financial businesses it has licensed, permitted, or registered. Elsewhere, use the relevant official regulator for your location and product.
  4. Match the details. Confirm the legal name, authorization status, permitted service, and website domain where the register provides it. A similar name is not enough.
  5. Check warnings and disciplinary history. Search the relevant authority’s warnings or alert information; remember that IOSCO says its I-SCAN index is not a complete list of every alert.
  6. Review payment and withdrawal terms. Check who receives funds and what the firm’s written terms say. Do not pay an extra charge just because a salesperson says it will release a withdrawal.

What about the platform and advertised returns?

Access to a trading platform, mobile app, or online dashboard does not demonstrate that a firm is authorized or that displayed account balances represent withdrawable funds. Screenshots, testimonials, and claims about an account manager are not substitutes for checking official regulatory records.

Should you deposit with Xiaohangjia Brokers?

No—not unless you independently verify the precise legal entity and its authorization for the offered services with the relevant regulator. The IOSCO index association and secondary reporting justify caution, while the available evidence does not itself prove criminal fraud.

Do not upload identity documents or send a small “test” deposit before verifying the firm. A successful initial transaction would not establish the firm’s authorization or guarantee that later withdrawals will be honored.

If you have already paid

  1. Do not send more money. Be wary of requests for alleged taxes, release charges, insurance, or recovery fees.
  2. Contact your bank or payment provider promptly. Ask whether a dispute, recall, or fraud-reporting process is available for your payment method.
  3. Secure your accounts. Change passwords and contact your bank if you shared login details or gave someone remote access to your device.
  4. Preserve evidence. Save the website address, agreements, emails, chats, payment details, and account records.
  5. Report the matter. Contact the financial regulator and law-enforcement or cybercrime reporting service relevant to your location.
  6. Be cautious of recovery offers. Do not pay an upfront fee based on a promise that someone can recover your money.

FAQ

Is Xiaohangjia Brokers a scam or legitimate?

The available evidence supports treating Xiaohangjia Futures Limited / Xiaohangjia Brokers as high risk, but does not by itself prove a criminal finding of fraud. Verify the exact entity and its authorization for the service with the relevant regulator before sending money.

What does the IOSCO I-SCAN entry mean?

IOSCO’s index associates the broker names with an SFC alert entry displayed with a date of 2018-06-04. IOSCO says alerts are voluntarily supplied and the index is not a complete list, so the entry is warning-context information rather than a complete licensing search or proof of criminal conduct.

How do I check if a broker is regulated?

Search the official register of the regulator responsible for your location and product. Match the exact legal entity and the specific service it is authorized to provide; do not rely on a similar name or a link supplied by the broker.

Does the reported Hong Kong address concern come from the SFC?

The research available for this review includes the address concern in a 55Brokers report updated 2023-03-31. The original SFC warning page could not be retrieved during the research pass, so the reported detail is attributed to 55Brokers rather than presented as independently checked SFC text.

Can I recover money if I have already paid?

Recovery is uncertain. Contact your bank or payment provider promptly to ask about available dispute or recall options, preserve evidence, and report the matter to the relevant authorities. Avoid anyone promising recovery for an upfront fee.

Should I pay a fee to unlock a withdrawal?

Do not send more money solely to unlock a withdrawal. Verify any fee through the firm’s written terms and an independent channel, and contact your payment provider if you suspect fraud.

The Bottom Line

Bottom line: The research supports treating Xiaohangjia Futures Limited / Xiaohangjia Brokers as high risk, not declaring it proven criminal fraud. IOSCO’s index associates the names with an SFC alert entry, while secondary assessments raise authorization and address concerns. Do not deposit until you verify the exact entity and its authorization for the offered service directly with the regulator relevant to you.
