Two men accused of administering WWH Club and related cybercrime sites were indicted in September 2024 on conspiracy charges. The cash purchases reported during the investigation drew attention, but they were allegations—not proof of guilt—and the sources cited here do not establish the case’s disposition as of October 8, 2026.
What prosecutors say WWH Club was
According to the indictment as summarized by the U.S. Department of Justice, WWH Club and sister sites operated as marketplaces, forums and training centers. Prosecutors alleged that users traded stolen identifying information, payment-card and bank-account data, passwords and other sensitive information. Discussions allegedly covered fraud, cyberattacks and evading law enforcement, while courses taught criminal techniques. The DOJ reported approximately 353,000 WWH Club users worldwide as of 2023. An FBI affidavit filed in 2024 recounts a March 26, 2023 post by a forum administrator claiming 353,000 users and 112,000 active during a 72-hour period. The latter figures are the administrator’s claims reproduced in the affidavit, not an independently audited count. Read the arrest affidavit.
How investigators described their evidence
The August 6, 2024 arrest affidavit describes a server image obtained from DigitalOcean under warrant and a reconstructed forum containing posts and training materials that investigators characterized as criminal. It also says an undercover FBI employee paid in bitcoin to attend a course. These are investigative allegations and descriptions in an affidavit, not findings made at trial.

The affidavit says an FBI agent logged in to WWH Club on or about July 19, 2024, and found that it generally continued to operate as described in the filing. That observation was before the arrests; it does not establish whether the site operates today or whether the arrests shut it down.
Why the cash spending was reported—and which vehicles were involved
Contemporaneous 2024 reporting based on the arrest materials said Pavel Kublitskii made an initial $50,000 cash deposit into a Bank of America account and that Alex Khodyrev bought a 2023 Chevrolet Corvette for about $110,000 in cash in March 2023. BleepingComputer’s August 10 report focused on the spending; The Record’s September 6 report also covered the Corvette purchase.

The DOJ’s later indictment announcement identified different vehicles: a 2023 Mercedes-Benz G63 AMG and a 2020 Cadillac CT5 Sport that prosecutors intended to seek for forfeiture as alleged traceable proceeds. The Corvette cash-purchase report and the later forfeiture allegation concern different vehicles and different procedural claims. A reported cash purchase by itself does not establish criminal conduct.
Who was indicted and what the charges establish
The DOJ announced on September 6, 2024, that Alex Khodyrev and Pavel Kublitskii had been indicted for conspiracy to commit access device fraud and conspiracy to commit wire fraud. Prosecutors alleged that the two men were among the main administrators of WWH Club and related sites from 2014 through 2024.

The DOJ said each man faced a maximum possible sentence of 20 years if convicted on all counts. That is a statutory maximum, not a prediction of a sentence or an indication of the likely outcome. The indictment formally charges the defendants; it does not prove the allegations. As the DOJ stated, “An indictment is merely a formal charge that a defendant has committed one or more violations of federal criminal law, and every defendant is presumed innocent unless, and until, proven guilty.”

What is known about the case’s current status
The DOJ announcement and arrest affidavit cited here, along with the contemporary reports, do not establish a later case disposition as of October 8, 2026. They are not enough to say that either defendant was convicted or acquitted, or that the case remains pending. The DOJ release’s presumption-of-innocence statement applies unless and until guilt is proven.
