WIZZ Class is an add-on to Wizz Air’s single-class cabin, not a separate cabin. It reserves the first-row middle seat beside you for extra personal space, includes first-row legroom, and comes with a complimentary non-alcoholic drink and snack. It began as a limited trial in January 2026, and Wizz Air announced on February 10, 2026 that it would extend the service across its network. Older coverage that calls it a test describes the early stage; the trial has already been expanded.
From trial to network rollout
The chronology matters because the service changed from a route-limited offer to a network-wide one within about a month.
| Date | What happened | Source |
|---|---|---|
| January 2026 | Launch on selected routes to and from Budapest, Bucharest Otopeni, Warsaw, London Luton, London Gatwick and Rome | Wizz Air’s initial announcement, published on its official LinkedIn page |
| February 9, 2026 | Start date given for the full network rollout | Wizz Air Holdings plc release dated February 10, 2026 |
| February 10, 2026 | Wizz Air says it tested the service at six bases and will extend it across the network | Same release, distributed via Public Now |
| April 28, 2026 | WIZZ Class is listed among new services introduced under the Customer First Compass program | Wizz Air’s one-year Customer First Compass update |
The February release is dated after the February 9 start date it cites, so the announcement reads as confirmation of a rollout already under way rather than a forward-looking notice. The company says the initial offer ran on selected flights from the six bases and that uptake exceeded expectations. It does not publish any figures to support that.
What you get
Wizz Air’s description lists three items:
- The reserved first-row middle seat. The seat beside you in row 1 (seat 1B or 1E, depending on the side) is the core of the product and the source of the extra personal space the airline advertises.
- First-row legroom. The row itself has extra legroom, which applies to the whole package.
- A complimentary non-alcoholic drink and snack.
What the service does not include
The announcements do not list any of the following. Do not assume them:

Bundles and how the add-on is sold
The February 2026 announcement says passengers can buy WIZZ Class during booking alongside Smart or Plus bundles. Those bundles include priority boarding and a 10 kg carry-on suitcase. Those bundle benefits belong to the bundles; the announcements do not describe them as part of WIZZ Class itself. The sources also do not say whether WIZZ Class can be purchased on its own without a bundle, so check the booking flow for that option.

Is it worth it for a budget business traveler?
No current price or independent value comparison is available, so the answer depends on your quote for a specific date and route. A workable method:
- Price the same flight twice on the booking page, once without WIZZ Class and once with it. Compare the total including taxes and fees, not the add-on line alone.
- If a Smart or Plus bundle is cheaper than buying the items separately, price the bundle as a unit and count only the items you will use: priority boarding, the 10 kg carry-on, and the reserved seat.
- Set the total against your real alternative, which may be a standard fare with paid extras, another carrier, or rail for shorter journeys.
- Decide whether the reserved seat and legroom matter for your trip. If you work on a laptop or need space for a long sit, that is the part of the package most likely to justify the cost. If you only want a drink and a snack, the value is much weaker.
Checking availability on your flight
The announcements do not give a live, flight-by-flight availability list, so they cannot confirm whether WIZZ Class is offered on a particular flight today. The most recent official statement reviewed here is dated April 28, 2026, and anything after that date may have changed. Search your exact route and date in the booking flow. If the option does not appear, the published material does not explain whether the cause is the route, the date or the fare, so try another date or route before drawing conclusions.

What Wizz Air says about demand
Wizz Air Commercial Officer Silvia Mosquera said in the February 10, 2026 announcement: “After testing WIZZ Class at six of our bases and receiving overwhelmingly positive feedback, it became clear that passengers – especially business travellers – value the extra comfort and space this service provides.”
Wizz Air Chief Commercial Officer Ian Malin said in the April 28, 2026 update: “When we launched the Customer First Compass, our goal was bold but simple: to prove that ultra-low fares don’t have to mean compromising on reliability or customer experience.”

- The Perfect Size: The textured, scratch-resistant exterior of this hardshell carry-on luggage is 15 x 10 x 23 inches" with wheels and meets the cabin size restrictions of most airlines.
- Stay Organized: This small hard-sided carry-on suitcase provides ample packing room with a spacious 20.5" x 14.5" x 10.0" interior. The elastic straps, divider, and pouch ensure everything stays neatly in place
Both are company statements. They are useful for understanding how the airline is positioning the product, but they are not independent evidence of demand or satisfaction.
What is still unknown
- The current price of WIZZ Class on any route or date
- Whether it is offered on every route today, and which flights are excluded
- Any measured uptake figure for WIZZ Class itself
- Any independent passenger satisfaction study
Until those are published, treat the service as a paid comfort option whose value is set by your own booking quote.

The Bottom Line
WIZZ Class is worth pricing only if the reserved first-row seat and extra legroom matter to you more than the added cost on your specific flight. Judge it by the total fare on the booking page, not by the label.
