Micron reported $54.23 billion in fiscal Q4 2026 revenue, while NVIDIA reported $96.221 billion in fiscal Q2 2027. Their fiscal quarters ended on different dates, but the reported figures show NVIDIA with about 1.77 times Micron’s revenue. Neither company has provided a forecast or date for a revenue crossover.
How do Micron and Nvidia’s latest quarterly revenues compare?
The latest figures available as of October 7, 2026, are company-reported revenue results. Micron’s fiscal Q4 2026 ended September 3, 2026; NVIDIA’s fiscal Q2 2027 ended July 26, 2026. They are the respective latest reported quarters, not matching calendar periods.
| Company and period | Quarter ended | Reported revenue | Year-over-year comparison |
|---|---|---|---|
| Micron, fiscal Q4 2026 | September 3, 2026 | $54.23 billion | Up from $11.32 billion in fiscal Q4 2025 |
| NVIDIA, fiscal Q2 2027 | July 26, 2026 | $96.221 billion | Up 106% from the year-earlier quarter |
On these reported totals, NVIDIA’s revenue was $41.991 billion higher. Micron’s fiscal Q4 revenue had also risen from $41.46 billion in fiscal Q3 2026, a substantial sequential increase, but the faster recent growth does not by itself establish that Micron will overtake NVIDIA.
These are company-reported revenue figures, not profit, market capitalization, or a comparison of only one business segment. NVIDIA separately reported $89.0 billion in Data Center revenue for Q2 FY2027; that segment figure should not be compared with Micron’s total company revenue as if they were equivalent measures.

What do the companies expect next?
Both companies issued forward-looking revenue outlooks for their next fiscal quarters. These are management estimates, not reported results or guarantees.
| Company and outlook period | Revenue outlook | Status |
|---|---|---|
| Micron, fiscal Q1 2027 | $61.5 billion ± $1.5 billion | Guidance issued September 30, 2026 |
| NVIDIA, fiscal Q3 2027 | $108.0 billion ± 2% | Guidance issued August 26, 2026 |
The ranges do not point to a near-term crossover: even the top of Micron’s outlook is below the bottom of NVIDIA’s. Guidance can change, and the releases do not say when, or whether, Micron might eventually report more quarterly revenue than NVIDIA.
Why the headline is possible but not established
Micron’s reported revenue climbed from $11.32 billion in fiscal Q4 2025 to $54.23 billion in fiscal Q4 2026. Micron’s CEO, Sanjay Mehrotra, said in the September 30, 2026 results release that the company expected an even stronger fiscal 2027. NVIDIA also described AI-related demand as a key driver of its business; its CEO, Jensen Huang, said in the August 26, 2026 release, “AI has reached its inflection point. It’s doing useful work. Its tokens are productive and profitable. Now, compute is revenue.” These are company explanations and management views, not independent forecasts of which company will lead in revenue.

The companies sell different products and report on different fiscal calendars. A growth rate comparison alone cannot establish a crossover date, and the latest company releases do not give an authoritative probability or timeline. For annual context, Micron reported $133.188 billion in fiscal 2026 revenue; NVIDIA reported $215.938 billion in fiscal 2026 revenue.
How to read future comparisons
- Check the period end dates. Fiscal quarter labels differ, and their reporting windows need not align.
- Separate actuals from outlooks. An earnings release reports completed-quarter revenue; guidance is a forward-looking estimate.
- Compare total revenue with total revenue. Segment revenue, net income, and market capitalization answer different questions.
- Treat a crossover date as unknown unless a source supports it. Company outlooks are not a stated forecast that Micron will pass NVIDIA.
