Why Zac Brown’s Brief Marriage Still Has a Legal and Financial Dimension

The 2023 marriage ended in a divorce announcement about four months after the wedding. A 2025 report said the prenup was upheld, but no verified legal-cost or settlement figure was reported.

The phrase “four-month marriage” refers to Zac Brown and Kelly Yazdi’s 2023 wedding and their announcement that they were divorcing. A July 2025 report said a court upheld their prenuptial agreement, while Yazdi separately said she was struggling with legal fees. Neither source establishes Brown’s personal costs or a settlement amount. The latest relationship milestone has also changed: the Los Angeles Times reported that Brown and Kendra Scott married in May 2026.

What happened in the four-month marriage?

Brown and Yazdi married in Coweta County, Georgia, on August 31, 2023, according to TMZ. On December 29, they told the outlet, “We are in the process of divorce.” Their joint statement added that they retained mutual respect and asked for privacy while navigating the matter. The “four-month” description refers to the interval between the wedding and that announcement; it does not establish when the marriage legally ended.

What is known about the financial and legal costs?

The prenup ruling

A July 2025 article reproduced on Blank Rome’s media-coverage page reported that a court upheld the couple’s prenuptial agreement. In that article, Blank Rome partner Jacqueline Combs said the agreement was found valid and enforceable and that a financial settlement would be governed by its terms. The report did not disclose a settlement figure or either party’s total legal expenses.

Yazdi’s account of legal fees

In July 2025, TV Insider quoted a public social-media post in which Yazdi said she was “still being buried in legal fees.” That is her description of her experience, not an independently verified accounting of her costs or Brown’s. The coverage supplied no amount.

Combs also discussed, in general terms, how protracted litigation can sometimes be used to exhaust a less wealthy spouse. That was general legal commentary, not a finding that either person used litigation tactics in this case.

Is the dispute over?

The July 2025 reporting is a dated account, not confirmation of the case’s present status. The available coverage does not establish whether the litigation later concluded. It also does not establish that Brown personally continues to pay a particular amount. Without a verified settlement or cost figure, claims about what the divorce has cost either person should be treated cautiously.

What happened with Brown’s engagement?

The “new engagement” framing is outdated. The Los Angeles Times reported on May 27, 2026, that Brown and Kendra Scott had married in Santorini. The paper said People had confirmed the news and noted that Brown’s representative had not immediately responded to its request for comment. See the Los Angeles Times report.
