Why Pokémon Team Rocket Attaché Cases Are Listed for Almost HK$2,000

Some Pokémon Team Rocket attaché-case listings approach HK$2,000 on Carousell Hong Kong, but those are asking prices—not proof of a sale or a US$2,000 value.

Some resale listings for the 2025 Japanese Pokémon Glory of the Rocket Team attaché case appear near HK$2,000—but that is a Hong Kong-dollar asking price, not proof that a buyer paid that amount. To judge the price, first check whether the listing includes a booster box, then compare it with completed sales for the same contents and condition.

Which Pokémon attaché case is being listed?

The listings refer to the 2025 Japanese Scarlet & Violet Glory of the Rocket Team Attaché Case Set, associated with expansion SV10. StockX describes its product as a bundle containing one attaché case and one Japanese booster box; similarly named listings may instead offer the case alone. Cardmarket lists a similarly named case product and identifies The Pokémon Company as its manufacturer. (StockX; Cardmarket)

StockX gives April 18, 2025 as the release date and $102 as the retail-price baseline on its product page. Treat those as StockX’s stated product-page figures, not a universal MSRP across regions. (StockX)

What does “almost $2,000” mean?

Carousell Hong Kong search results retrieved in 2026 showed seller asking prices of HK$1,980 and HK$2,000, as well as HK$2,200, HK$2,400, and HK$2,600 for listings described as the Team Rocket attaché case or set. These are Hong Kong dollars—not US dollars—and the results establish advertised prices, not completed sales. They also do not establish why a particular seller chose that price or whether the item later sold. (Carousell Hong Kong)

How to evaluate a listing before paying

  1. Confirm exactly what is included. Check whether the offer is for the case only or the case with a Japanese booster box. Do not assume that a listing titled “set” contains the same items as StockX’s bundle.
  2. Separate asks from sales. A seller’s posted price is not evidence of what buyers paid. Prefer completed-sale records, and check the individual listing description before using it as a comparison.
  3. Match condition and contents. Compare sealed or new items with similar listings, and opened or incomplete items with their own category. The eBay example at US$125.99 specifically excluded cards.
  4. Keep currency and location visible. HK$2,000 on Carousell Hong Kong is not US$2,000. European euro listings and U.S.-dollar marketplace figures are different regional data points.
  5. Work out the buyer’s total. Check whether shipping and marketplace fees are included. StockX’s displayed $344 buy-now figure included its marketplace fee; Carousell’s search excerpts showed seller asks.

Listings, fees, stock status, and resale prices can change or disappear. Treat each displayed amount as a dated platform snapshot rather than a lasting valuation.

What can and cannot be concluded from the listings?

The retrieved Carousell results support the claim that some Hong Kong sellers asked nearly HK$2,000 or more for listings described as this attaché case or set. They do not show that those listings sold, explain a seller’s pricing decision, or establish a single market value for every version of the product. The StockX bundle figures and the case-only eBay sale illustrate why contents and transaction status matter when comparing prices.

Mcbazel Magnetic Acrylic Display Case for PKMN Team Rocket's Moltres ex UPC
  • THE INSIDE OF THIS CASE MEASURES 39.1 X 6.5 X 23.1 CM: That is 15.39 x 2.56 x 9.09 inches, and it is the inside, not the outside, so you can hold your sealed box against those three numbers before you order. The Team Rocket Moltres ex Ultra Premium Collection box drops in from the top with no gaps and no pressure on the factory shrink wrap. It does not fit the 151, Charizard, Prismatic Evolutions or 25th Anniversary boxes.
  • 8 MM SIDE WALLS CARRY A LONG BOX WITHOUT BOWING: The side walls of this case are 8 mm thick and the front and back plates are 5 mm, which matters on a box this wide, so the panels stay flat instead of curving outward and you read the artwork through clear acrylic from every side.
  • THE MAGNETS SIT DEEP INSIDE THE 8 MM SIDE WALLS: The lid closes onto magnets embedded in the thick side walls, so it snaps tight and stays shut when the case is bumped on a shelf, and you lower the box in from above without clips, hinges or screws that could scratch it.
  • UV RESISTANT PANELS KEEP SUNLIGHT AND DUST OFF YOUR BOX: The panels filter harmful ultraviolet rays to help stop the artwork fading or yellowing near a window, and the closed case seals out dust, dirt and moisture while your sealed box is on display.
  • YOU GET THE CASE PLUS A CLOTH, A PAD AND A NOTICE CARD: The package holds one acrylic magnetic display box, one eyeglass cleaning cloth, one odor reminder card and one silicone pad, and it ships in shock absorbing packaging. Leave the lid open in a ventilated room for a day before you seal a box inside, and stand the cases side by side rather than stacked, since there are no interlocking grooves.
