In April 2022, Kissflow CEO Suresh Sambandam presented five BMW cars to senior executives, describing the gifts as appreciation for people who had helped build the Chennai-based software company. News reports valued each car at about ₹1 crore at the time; that is a historical reported value, not a current price.
Why did the Kissflow CEO give the cars?
Sambandam connected the gifts to the executives’ loyalty, commitment and contributions to the company. He said: “These are the five people who stayed with me in the trenches. Without them Kissflow would not be where it is today, and this is a very small token of appreciation. I feel happy to see them enjoy it with their families”.
The presentation coincided with Kissflow’s tenth anniversary. The reports describe it as recognition for senior colleagues who had played a part in the company’s development, rather than as a general employee benefit available to the workforce.
Who received a BMW?
The five recipients named in the coverage were:
- Dinesh Varadharajan, chief product officer
- Kausikram Krishnasayee, director of product management
- Vivek Madurai, director
- Adhi Ramanathan, director
- Prasanna Rajendran, vice-president
Which BMW models were reported?
Hindustan Times and Onmanorama describe the cars as BMW 530d models in the 5 Series; Onmanorama identifies the M Sport edition. Economic Times instead calls them 6 Series cars, so the model-series description is not consistent across reports. The more specific 530d / 5 Series description is the best-supported account, but the discrepancy is worth noting when exact model identification matters.

This figure describes the reported value of the gifts at the time; it is not an independently verified transaction price or a current BMW price.
