Robux earned from Experience Pass sales sit in escrow until a holding period ends. An incoming transfer waits until the recipient accepts it and meets any age or parent-account requirements. A security Delayed Action can hold sensitive actions, including Robux movements, for a set wait. A purchase made during a Roblox outage or maintenance can be delayed. Start by identifying which of these applies to your transaction, then follow the matching step below. Roblox does not publish one universal timer for “pending,” so avoid assuming a fixed release date.
Check the transaction first in My Transactions
Most answers are visible in your own transaction history. On the web, log in to the Roblox account that earned, received, or purchased the Robux. Select the Robux amount, then open My Transactions. The filters are Summary, Currency Purchases, Premium Stipends, Purchases, Sales of Goods, Creator Rewards, and Group Payouts. Pending Robux are listed there, so the filter tells you whether you are looking at a sale, a purchase, a reward, or a payout.
Next, check your email and in-app notifications. A transfer acceptance request, a parent-approval request, a security alert about a Delayed Action, and a Roblox service notice each arrive through those channels. If none of them mention your transaction, the most likely explanation is one of the cases below.
The five situations that show up as “pending”
The table below compares the cases by what they are, what you need to do, and the timing Roblox publishes. Only the first four involve Robux. The last one is a bank-card hold that can look similar on a statement.

Roblox’s help pages do not show a publication date for these timing statements, so check the live article for current wording before quoting a figure to someone else.
1. Experience Pass sale earnings in escrow
If you are a creator and a Robux amount from an Experience Pass sale is missing, Roblox places those earnings in escrow. Roblox calls this pending status escrow. The Robux move into your account total once the holding period ends, and you can see the pending amount in My Transactions. Experience Pass sales also carry a transaction fee, so the amount you see after the holding period may not match the gross sale price.

Roblox’s Experience Pass help article does not give a fixed number of hours or days for the holding period. If you have been waiting longer than you expected, the transaction history is the reliable record. If a sale does not appear there at all, or the amount does not reconcile, contact Roblox Support rather than relying on an estimate.
2. Incoming transfers that need acceptance or eligibility steps
When someone sends you Robux, the transfer is not final until you respond. Roblox says the recipient receives a notification that a transfer is pending and must select Accept. Once accepted, the Robux are added instantly.

Eligibility can hold the transfer even after acceptance is possible. Under the rules described in Roblox’s “Sending and Receiving Robux” article, users under 16 need a linked parent account and parent approval for each incoming transfer. Some regions require parent approval for users under 18. Users who have not completed the required age steps see the Robux held in Pending Robux in My Transactions. If the requirements are not met within seven days, Roblox says the transfer is canceled and returned to the sender. The same article says users 16 and older must complete an Age Check, and that sending Robux requires Roblox Plus. Those rules can change and may differ by region, so check the current article if eligibility is the question.
Transfers are final once sent and cannot be reversed. Roblox also warns users never to send Robux to someone who asks for it as part of account verification. If a transfer request came from someone you do not know, treat the request itself as the problem and do not complete any step they ask for.

3. A security Delayed Action
Roblox can impose a mandatory waiting period on sensitive actions, especially when the session is unfamiliar or appears high risk. Roblox’s “Delayed Actions” article says the wait is typically several hours and can affect movement of assets such as Robux. Roblox may send a notice to the registered email address and to active devices.
- If you started the action: wait for the timer to expire, then return to the action and complete it.
- If you did not start it: use the “No, it’s not me” response in the alert. That logs out the suspicious session. Then change your password and review your 2-Step Verification settings.
- Bypass options: Roblox says trusted passkeys or hardware keys, and trusted devices, may bypass some delays. Very large group payouts may not allow a bypass.
This security wait has nothing to do with escrow. Changing devices, adding a security key, or paying a third party who claims they can speed things up will not release sale proceeds.

4. A purchase delayed by a Roblox service issue
Purchases made with Robux, whether on the website or inside an experience, can be delayed when Roblox has an outage or scheduled maintenance. Roblox’s “What happens when Roblox is down” guidance says most products are applied within an hour, and at most within 24 hours, during those incidents. Check Roblox’s status page first. If the status page shows no incident and the purchase is still missing after 24 hours, treat it as an account question and contact Roblox Support.
5. A card charge that looks like pending Robux
A pending card charge is not the same as Pending Robux. Roblox says a declined card charge may be held temporarily by the card issuer while the payment resolves, and a small temporary verification fee may appear. Roblox says those funds return to the card within 1–10 business days. If the hold lasts longer than that window, contact your card issuer. For questions about the Roblox charge itself, contact Roblox Support.

- Log in to the account that earned, received, or purchased the Robux. Check the balance, then open My Transactions and select the matching filter.
- Find the row that matches your situation: sale, transfer, Creator Rewards, Group Payouts, purchase, or card charge. Each one has a different explanation.
- For a sale in escrow, confirm the transaction appears in the relevant sales history, then allow the holding period to run. Roblox does not publish a universal duration.
- For a transfer, look for the pending notification and complete the acceptance, Age Check, linked-parent, or parent-approval step that applies to the recipient. If the requirements are not met within seven days, the transfer is canceled and returned.
- For a security delay, follow the timer shown in Roblox’s security email or in-app alert. If you did not start the action, respond to the alert immediately and secure the account.
- If Roblox reports a service problem, check the status page and allow time for the purchase to be applied.
- If the Robux still do not appear, or the transaction type is unclear, contact Roblox Support.
What to include when you contact Roblox Support
Roblox’s “Contact Us” article asks for specific details, and including them up front usually shortens the back-and-forth.
- Your Roblox username
- The device you were using when the problem happened
- The help category that fits the issue
- A clear description of what you expected and what you see
- For a billing question: the payment type, the dates and amounts, and the exact error message
Use Roblox’s official help and support channels only. Be cautious about anyone outside those channels who offers to release pending Robux for a fee or asks for your password or verification codes.
