Hulk Hogan warned followers on June 5, 2024, not to pay attention to posts appearing on his X account that promoted the Solana memecoin HULKAMANIA ($HULK). He said the posts were “not from me” and would be removed. That was a public disavowal—not proof that his account had been hacked. Contemporary reports did not establish who published the promotions or how they appeared on the account.
What did Hulk Hogan say about the $HULK posts?
In an Instagram post dated June 5, Hogan wrote: “Please do not take notice of any posts posted today. They are not from me and will be promptly removed.” Cointelegraph quoted the statement; The Block also reported that Hogan issued the warning on Instagram. The posts on X promoting HULKAMANIA were later deleted, according to contemporary coverage.
The key point is what Hogan did and did not say: he denied authoring the posts, but his statement did not identify who had posted them or explain how they appeared on the account.
Was Hulk Hogan’s X account hacked?
That was not confirmed in the reporting available at the time. Cointelegraph said it was unclear whether the account had been hacked and reported that Hogan’s team had not responded to its request for comment by publication. A denial of authorship is not, by itself, evidence of a technical account breach. The careful conclusion is that Hogan disavowed the promotions while the account-access question remained unresolved.

What happened to the HULK token’s market value?
Cointelegraph, citing DEX Screener, reported that HULK’s market capitalization reached $18.8 million at about 7:40 p.m. UTC on June 6, 2024, then fell to roughly $2 million about 20 minutes later. These are historical reported figures, not current market data or a measure of what any individual buyer gained or lost. The Block also covered the sharp drop.
What was reported about token ownership?
Cointelegraph reported a claim by blockchain analytics firm Bubblemaps that five wallets bought 15% of HULK’s supply before Hogan’s account promoted it. That remains an attributed analytics-firm claim, not an independently established finding in the cited coverage. It does not establish who controlled those wallets, who wrote the posts, or whether Hogan participated.

Was this a proven pump-and-dump?
No. The reported price swing and Bubblemaps’ wallet-concentration claim may raise questions about the token’s trading activity, but they do not prove a coordinated scheme or Hogan’s involvement. Coverage described the posts, Hogan’s denial and the market movement; it did not resolve who authored the posts or establish a confirmed account compromise. Cointelegraph’s account of the unresolved authorship question is important context when interpreting headlines about the episode.
